Donald Trump reveals why he won’t be deporting Prince Harry before making brutal one-word dig at Meghan Markle

Donald Trump has stated he 'does not want' to deport Harry - and apparently it's all to do with the reigning monarch King Charles III.

Now, the 78-year-old Republican leader has not been shy when it comes to attacking the Duchess of Sussex throughout the years - so it's no surprise he took the opportunity to deliver a jab when previously telling the press that he isn’t interested in sending the Duke of Sussex back to the UK for a very specific reason.

An insider revealed to The Sun that Trump's 'warm relationship' with King Charles and his 'respect' for the Royal Family means that he won't boot out Harry from the States.

"The President knows that if he were to deport Harry from California and his 14-bathroom mansion, the 40-year-old royal would have nowhere to go, causing a headache for the King," the outlet reports.

A source said: "Having him back in the UK is actually harder than having him kept away in the USA."

The Heritage Foundation brought Prince Harry's immigration into question, claiming he may have allegedly concealed his use of illegal drugs in the past that should have disqualified him from getting a visa - leading some to ask for his immigration files to be made public.

Harry admitted he had previously taken drugs in his 2023 memoir Spare.

In his memoir, he revealed he'd previously taken cocaine, cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms, first taking cocaine at the age of 17 following his mother Princess Diana's death in 1997.

He said: "Of course I had been taking cocaine at that time. At someone’s house, during a hunting weekend, I was offered a line, and since then I had consumed some more."

When asked if he wants to deport Harry, who currently lives in Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Trump declared: "I don’t want to do that."

Speaking to the NY Post, he added: "I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible."

After throwing unnecessary jabs at Markle, Trump took the opportunity to praise Prince William, saying: "I think William is a great young man."

Meghan has previously shared her disapproval of Trump, including calling him ‘divisive’ and a 'misogynist'. She also supported his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 election.

Trump attempted to set the record straight after he reportedly told The Sun that he referred to Meghan as 'nasty' by claiming his comment was taken out of context.

The former Apprentice USA host had told the paper he 'didn’t know she was nasty' after a reporter informed Trump that Meghan would move to Canada if he won the 2016 election.

But in an interview with Good Morning Britain in June 2019, Trump told Piers Morgan he didn’t intend to cause any offence, adding that he actually thinks Meghan is 'very nice'.

"The question was asked to me and I didn’t know that she said anything bad about me, it sounds like she did, and that’s okay - I mean hey, join the crowd right?" he said (via ITV News). "They said some of the things that she said, and it’s actually on tape, and I said: 'Well, I didn’t know she was nasty'.

"I wasn’t referring to she’s nasty - I said she was nasty about me, and essentially I didn’t know she was nasty about me.

"So I said, but you know what, she’s doing a good job, I hope she enjoys her life."

Trump added: "I think she’s very nice. Honestly, I don’t know her. So I have to be honest, I don’t know her but it just shows you how terrible the news can be because if you read that - I’m sure you did, that was talking about nasty - she was nasty about me."
