Dakota Johnson once opened up about the one thing she felt uncomfortable doing whilst filming the X-rated Fifty Shades of Grey movies.
The 35-year-old American actress, who has been in a bunch of box-office smashes throughout her career, starred in all three movies from the steamy trilogy - Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed - which were based on the novels written by British author E. L. James.
The films were highly successful at the box office, reportedly grossing over $1.32 billion worldwide against a combined budget of $150 million.
And, while they may have been critically panned for poor pacing and acting, the franchise ended up being the seventh highest-grossing R-rated film series of all time and the highest-grossing R-rated opening in history for the first film.

Despite this, it's clear that Johnson didn't have the smoothest experience on set as she opened up about the 'psychotic' experience she endured behind the scenes.

As we know, the actress played protagonist Anastasia Steele in the movies, with The Fall actor Jamie Dornan playing alongside her as Christian Grey.
However, Dornan wasn't the first choice for the role as Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam had already dropped out ahead of the first film due to scheduling conflicts - something which James was allegedly far from happy about.

Speaking to Vanity Fair back in 2022, the Lost Daughter actress said that James was 'so enraged' by Hunnam's departure that she scrapped the original script altogether.
"It just became something crazy," Johnson explained. "There were a lot of different disagreements."
She went on: "I haven’t been able to talk about this truthfully ever, because you want to promote a movie the right way, and I’m proud of what we made ultimately and everything turns out the way it’s supposed to, but it was tricky."

Johnson then listed a number of examples of 'battled' that occurred with James, including the inclusion of 'incredibly cheesy' lines that Johnson felt wouldn’t work for the film.
"She had a lot of creative control, all day, every day, and she just demanded that certain things happen," she said.
And, when asked if she regretted getting involved with the production, the A-lister denied the suggestion but did reveal that she wouldn’t have agreed to be in the film if she’d known of the drama to come.
"No. I don’t think it’s a matter of regret," she explained, before reflecting: "If I had known at the time that’s what it was going to be like, I don’t think anyone would’ve done it.

"It would’ve been like, 'Oh, this is psychotic.' But no, I don’t regret it."
