It seems the Sex and the City cast are finding themselves embroiled in as much drama as their on-screen characters.
Chris Noth has issued a follow-up statement after his 'savage dig' at his former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker went viral on social media.
The duo played love interests for six seasons between 1998 until 2004, with their characters Mr Big and Carrie Bradshaw being involved in a dramatic on-again, off-again relationship that divided fans.
But as we say, it looks like things have taken an equally theatrical turn behind the scenes, as Noth publicly hit out at Parker in his Instagram comments last week.

He shared a snap of him looking slightly angry while enjoying a gym session with his 485,000 followers, alongside the caption: "F&@k new years - LETS GO!!!!"
Then, in the comments section, one fan wrote: "You mean fcuk [sic] sjp & her award right? lol," to which Noth agreed: "Right."

The one-word response caused quite the stir as it seemed to confirm that everything wasn't exactly smooth-sailing between the pair.

His remark came just after Parker was presented the Golden Globes' Carol Burnett Award for her outstanding contributions to television. During her speech, she got emotional as she talked about filming Sex and the City with her castmates in New York City for over two decades.
Referring to her co-stars by their four characters' names, she expressed her gratitude to have spent '25 years with the most glorious ensemble of women and actors.'
The actress gushed: "It’s the nature of the journeyman to move on, but in 1997, because [agent] Kevin [Huvane] said I had to say yes, I met Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Samantha Jones and Miranda Hobbes.
“I spent 25 years with the most glorious ensemble of women and actors, where we treated all of New York like CBS Television City and the streets like Studio 33."

However, there was no mention of Noth, which some fans picked up on.
Now, as we say, after his blunt comment went viral, the Mr Big actor has come back onto Instagram to clear up exactly what he meant, calling the remark 'sarcastic'.
He penned: "My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot."
The star added: "It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about."

Noth was 'written out' of the spin-off And Just Like That after he was at the centre of a scandal in 2021.

Two anonymous women claimed he sexually assaulted them in separate incidents in 2004 and 2015. No charges were ever brought, and the actor has vehemently denied the claims as 'categorically false'.
As per People, the actor said at the time: "These stories could've been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago - no always means no - that is a line I did not cross. It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

However, Parker confirmed in 2022 that she'd not spoken to her former co-star since the allegations surfaced.
