Justin Timberlake defended after sharing rare glimpse inside family life with wife Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake has offered a rare peek into his family-filled summer, as he took to Instagram to share photos with his wife Jessica Biel and their sons, Silas, 11, and Phineas, six.

The 45-year-old dropped an unexpected photo dump on the social media app on Tuesday (18 August), marking his first post in months.

He shared a carousel of photos, including a picture of the couple all dressed up, with American actress Jessica looking glamorous in a satin orange gown.

The singer wrapped his arm around his wife and donned a grey suit, complete with his signature red sunglasses.

A second snap showed his youngest son peeking over the top of a huge ice cream sundae, while other family snaps showcased a variety of days out including a museum, a rodeo, golfing and fishing.

However, cruel trolls were quick to flood the comments of the post, leaving remarks like: “Jessica, is this man bothering you?” and “She's too good for him.”

A third brutally penned: “Look at you trying to be normal. That's cute. Post it on the internet so it must be true. Dad and husband of the day folks....”

While a fourth penned: “They look miserable together, his hand is curled up, she’s so leaning away, and both look faded.”

And others ruthlessly added: “Jessica deserves better” and “They’re still together?”

Thankfully though, the singer’s fans rushed to defend him and shut down the haters, with the positive comments outweighing the negative.

One follower wrote: “People are way too mean on this. Justin, I’m happy to see you sharing your family and what gives you hope. That’s a great dad!"

A second joked: "@‌justintimberlake and @‌jessicabiel reading the comments cracking up at the delusion of you all arguing about lives you know NOTHING about.”

And a third remarked: “These comments are why Hollywood is questionable. Y'all are obsessed and act like you live perfect lives.”

While a fourth sarcastically wrote: “I think your haters love you more than us fans, they beat me to it.”

“Seeing you happy, surrounded by your family and enjoying the best things life has to offer honestly makes me so happy. Family is everything, man. Wishing you many more moments like these!,” gushed another.

In October, Justin and Jessica, who began dating back in 2007, celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.

The talented couple got engaged in December 2011 and tied the knot in October 2012, at the Borgo Egnazia resort in Fasano, Italy.

They went on to welcome their two sons together - Silas Randall Timberlake, born in April 2015, and Phineas Timberlake, born in the summer of 2020.

In July 2025, Justin revealed that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease - a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.

He wrote on social media at the time: “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. “When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”

Justin continued: “I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.”
