Beyoncé's daughter, Blue Ivy, has sparked a debate online, with some fans shocked by her age after she debuted a glamorous look yesterday.

The eldest child of the pop star and Jay-Z attended The Angel Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in Lower Manhattan on Monday night (27 October) to support her grandmother Tina Knowles, who was being honoured at the glamorous event for 'her extraordinary impact and continue our mission to fund the future of cancer research'.

She stepped out in a pink satin dress, along with a matching feathered coat and kitten heels and was papped as she was arriving at the venue.

Mum Beyoncé also shared a selfie to Instagram of Blue Ivy and her grandma, alongside the caption: "Congrats Mom on your philanthropy award at the Angel Ball tonight."

While some people couldn't get over how Blue looks the spitting image of her mother, others were taken aback by her glam outfit.

Some fans seemingly felt it was too adult for a 13-year-old and made their views known on social media.

One surprised Instagram user commented: "How old is Blue? She looks very mature yet lovely," while a second questioned: "Why she dressed like as if she’s 25 like she’s literally 13."

A third agreed: "Blue Ivy is absolutely stunning and so young at 13 years old. She looks like she’s 18, smh."

While a fourth pointed out: "When I was 13 I was wearing Cut Offs and Old Navy sandals with a scrunchie in my hair."

However, others rushed to defend Beyoncé and Blue, pointing out that it's really not this big of a deal and complimenting the mother-daughter duo.

"Blue is gorgeous, omg! looks just like you," someone gushed, while two others agreed, writing: "Blue is looking like young B!!!" and "Blue serving beauty and class."

Another snapped back with: "She's beautiful. 13 year olds wear make up. I remember going in the bathroom on school break and girls talking about makeup. Y'all always got something negative to say."

The debate comes just after another similar conversation about Kim Kardashian and her 12-year-old daughter, North West.

North recently showed off a new look on TikTok, featuring electric blue braids, what appear to be false eyelashes, heavy chains, fake face tattoos, and piercings.

In some clips, she was also wearing bright blue contact lenses to match her hair and grillz.

However, as we say, the videos sparked a similar divide online, with some people believing North is too young for the style. But Kardashian has made her opinion quite clear on the matter in a comment on a TikTok video on the subject.

Tyla has contacted a representative for Beyoncé for comment.
