Amy Schumer has candidly opened up about why her face has changed after issuing a message to fans about her recent social media presence.
The 44-year-old Trainwreck actress shocked her 12.6 million followers earlier this week after deleting all her Instagram photos, barring just one post, which was captioned: "Deleted my old pics for no reason!"
Hours before the major social media switch-up, Schumer also posted a photo of her very first Instagram post to her Instagram Stories with the overlay text echoing: "My first ever Insta post. I'm gonna erase them all cause why not?"
On the following day (12 November), she took to the platform once again to share a throwback snap of her posing in some pretty kooky shades with a message hitting out over a false 'narrative' about the reason why she deleted all her posts.

She penned: "Hey media outlets I didn’t delete my old photos because they were pre-me losing weight. That’s a narrative you created.
"I’m proud of how I’ve looked always. I have been working to be pain-free and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome, so my face went back to normal."
Cushing's syndrome is a disorder caused by prolonged exposure to excess cortisol, a hormone that helps the body respond to stress. Symptoms include rapid weight gain and a round 'moon face'.

The comedian continued: "I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son. But your Instagram is not your identity, it’s a curation of what you want the world to see, and I feel great, strong and beautiful, and it’s been fun sharing that.
"I didn’t purposely go on a 'weight loss journey', that’s a fine thing to go on. But my focus has been on health."
Schumer rounded off: "I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate. I’m a perimenopausal woman on HRT meds.
"Wishing you strength and self-love on whatever path you’re on, as long as it’s kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight, race or religion, peace!"
Schumer previously penned up about how troll comments saying she had a 'moon face' actually ended up alerting her to a rare health diagnosis.
Speaking to Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper back in January, Schumer said that she tried to ignore the remarks at first, but she soon grew legitimately concerned after comments from doctors started coming in, too.
Schumer recalled: "Doctors were chiming in in the comments, and they were like, ‘No, no… something’s really up. Your face looks so crazy’.
"At first, I was like ‘F**k off’."
But soon, the penny dropped.
The actress had been getting steroid injections to help with the scars from her breast reduction and C-section, and she thought this could be the culprit.
"So I was getting these steroid injections, and so it gave me this thing called Cushing's syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard," Schumer revealed.
It turns out that taking high doses of steroids can increase your risk of developing the condition.
Schumer said: "I learned I had this condition, and that I had something called moon face, and I’m starring in a movie - and there’s a camera right in my face.
"I was feeling really down on myself before I started filming this movie… I was, like, really having trouble figuring out how I was going to star in a movie while I had this going on."
Luckily, the star says she has since recovered from her bout of Cushing's, as she quipped about the backlash she received over her face helping alert her to the problem.
"Thank God for that," Schumer joked. "Because that's how I realised something was wrong."
