'Top Boy' Series Three Lands On Netflix Today

Fans of Top Boy: you might want to cancel all your weekend plans as series three lands on Netflix... TODAY.

Yes, the gritty crime drama will be returning to the streaming service just in time for a weekend binge.

Series one, which aired in 2011, followed the rise of local drug dealers Dushane and Sully, and the harsh world that they were living in, all set in London.

The second series, out in 2013, followed the next chapter, seeing the pair turn into rivals in a world of drugs and violence in the British capital.

For series three, Ashley Walters (Bulletproof) and rapper Kane Robinson reprise their roles as Dushane and Sully. Shone Romulus (Out) will also return as Dris, while Ashley Thomas (Black Mirror) returns as Jermaine.

According to Netflix, series three picks up with "Dushane returns from exile to his home in London to reclaim his throne in the highly lucrative drug market.

"He teams up with Sully, his spiritual brother, partner and sometime rival who is also returning to the same streets after his own form of exile - prison - comes to an end.

"Awaiting them both is Jamie, the young, hungry and ruthless gang leader whose ambitions leave no place for Dushane and Sully."

The third series will see Micheal Ward (The A List, Blue Story) join the cast as Jamie, along with Lisa Dwan (Trust), Jasmine Jobson (Obey) is Ja, Kadeem Ramsay (Sex Education), Saffron Hocking (London Kills), Kola Bokinni (Black Mirror) and Hope Ikpoku.

Artists Simbi Ajikawo 'Little Simz' will be playing Shelley and British rapper David Omoregie 'Dave' also joins the lineup, with no other than Drake tagging on to the project as Executive Producer.

While the first two series were just four episodes long, the third season will comprise of 10 instalments. That's what we like to hear.
