If you're stumped on what to watch this weekend then look no further than Netflix, which has some pretty exciting new additions dropping today (26 April).

The streaming platform has been providing us with banger after banger as of recent and the latest flick to hit the site has an excellent Rotten Tomatoes score.

The 'gripping' action thriller also boasts a star-studded cast full of Hollywood A-listers to sweeten the deal.

The film, which first hit our screens last September, follows former assassin, Finbar Murphy who now leads a quiet life in a coastal Irish town, after trying to leave his pretty dark past behind him.

Set in 1970s Ireland, Finbar takes himself as far away as possible from the political violence that's taken ahold of the rest of the country.

However, Finbar soon ends up being drawn back into his old life where he faces the major ultimatum: expose his secret identity or defend his friends and neighbours.

The film stars the likes of Liam Neeson as Finbar alongside Jack Gleeson, Kerry Condon and Ciarán Hinds.

It is, of course, In The Land of Saints and Sinners.

Check out the official trailer here:

In The Land of Saints and Sinners currently stands at an impressive 82 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer and has a decent 75 percent on the reviews aggregate site's official audience score.

And the film clearly went down a treat with fans when it was first released with many viewers rushing to social media to share their praise for it.

One X, formerly Twitter, user penned: "In The Land of Saints and Sinners, Neeson brings depth and intensity. It's a refreshing take on his usual action-driven flicks. His comfort on screen is palpable.

"Gripping and heartfelt, against the breathtaking Irish backdrop, it's a standout from Neeson in quite some time."

A second fan of the flick enthusiastically gushed: "In The Land of Saints and Sinners was a very good drama."

They continued: "It’s not an action movie, more of a character study about right and wrong. Great acting all around and the Irish scenery is breathtaking."
