The BBC has released its Christmas TV line up for 2019 and we're excited to say Paddington 2 is set to take centre stage over the holidays.

Watching films is akin to eating turkey with pigs in blankets over the festive season, so we're pleased to see such a great movie make its terrestrial TV debut, reportedly on Boxing Day.

The sequel film, based on Michael Bond's original Paddington stories, is one of those lovable movies that both kids and adults alike enjoy thanks to its heartwarming storyline that follows a bear who gets himself into all kinds of troublesome situations.

The second movie follows the marmalade-loving bear as he finds himself framed as a thief and thrown into jail. Poor old Paddington!

But will anyone come to his rescue?

The live-action comedy is supposedly airing on Boxing Day, perfect timing to cuddle up in pyjamas and relax eating turkey sandwiches after the madness of the main day itself.

The Paddington 2 movie also has a stellar cast with famous voices including Julie Waters', Jim Broadbent's and Hugh Grant's, plus the voice of Paddington himself by Ben Whishaw.

On release, it was well reviewed and widely enjoyed, so you know you're in for a corker. In fact, it has an average rating of 8.77/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. You really can't beat a good movie on Boxing Day.

Finding Dory, the most-recent 2017 live-action Beauty and The Beast starring Emma Watson and 2016's Alice Through The Looking Glass are also airing over the Christmas period.

But if you're after something more intense to binge while you laze around, You Season 2 Season 2 is also set to land on Boxing Day on Netflix.

If you haven't seen the first season, you better hop to it before then. But if you have, you'll know that it centres around creepy Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley.

Will he get up to his old tricks, or will he play a reformed character? We can't wait to find out.

It is far from a laid-back watch unlike Paddington 2 though, so it depends what vibe you're after.

Tyla contacted the BBC to ask about official timings of its Christmas movies, but the broadcaster is not set to release them until December 3rd.
