How much Selena Gomez makes per post as the most followed woman on Instagram

The pop star and cosmetics brand founder makes a huge amount of dollars per Instagram post.

Selena Gomez is the undisputed queen of Instagram - people simply can't get enough of the actress, singer and businesswoman and the numbers prove it.

Earlier today, the ‘Hands to Myself’ singer surpassed reality TV star Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on the social media platform, with a humongous following of 381 million at the time of writing.

The Rare Beauty founder was previously the most followed woman on the site in 2019 before being overtaken by fellow pop star Ariana Grande, and then Jenner.

As one of Instagram’s most popular people, Gomez is - unsurprisingly - said to make a huge amount thanks to her large following.

According to the annual Instagram Rich List posted by Hopper HQ, the former Disney Channel star rakes in a whopping $1,735,000 (£1,443,450.60) per post.

She's not doing too badly, is she?

The 30-year-old Hollywood A-Lister debuted on our screens as a child star on Barney & Friends in 2002 before starring in Wizards of Waverly Place and executive producing the critically acclaimed Disney+ series Only murders in the Building and Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.

And we can’t forget to mention Selena’s incredible music career, with 6.7 million albums sold worldwide by October 2015.

Her networth stands at $95 million (£79,034,300) according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Despite her success on Instagram, Gomez has spoken out in the past about how the app has impacted her mental health.

She actually took a four-year break from Instagram because of how it made her feel, and in an 2022 interview with Good Morning America, she said she hadn’t personally been online in four years.

“It has changed my life completely,” she said about her hiatus. “I am happier, I am more present, I connect more with people.

“I understand how powerful the internet is, and in so many ways it's done the best things for the world. But for me, I get to my news that is actually important I get through people in my life.

"And everything else I could care less, because it's not my business to care about people's other business."

This month, the Mabel Mora actor compared social media to high school when explaining why she gave up control of her platforms to her assistant.

“People can call me ugly or stupid and I’m like, Whatever. But these people get detailed,” she told Vanity Fair.

Gomez returned to Instagram in January.

"They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a waste of my time."

Gomez returned to the social media platform back in January with a mirror selfie showing off her gorgeous lilac butterfly iPhone case.

“Wait can you tell I’m back on Instagram?” she asked cheekily and her fans were naturally overjoyed.

We're so happy to have you back, Selena!
