Taylor Swift reveals one ‘green flag’ she spotted in Travis Kelce at the start of their relationship

After that joint podcast appearance, Swifties are more obsessed than ever with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship.

From recalling the sweet story of how they met to sharing their favourite things about each other, the celebrity couple could barely keep their hands off each other during the two-hour special of New Heights that dropped on Thursday (14 August).

As well as announcing her upcoming album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', Taylor also shared one huge 'green flag' she noticed about the American football tight end when their romance first began - and we're obsessed.

Discussing their love story, the 35-year-old gushed over how the NFL star, also 35, famously used his podcast to publicly declare he wanted to date her, after he failed to meet her at her Eras tour show at Arrowhead Stadium - the Kansas City Chiefs' home stadium.

The 'Bad Blood' hitmaker revealed: "It was such a wild, romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you'. But he “never did any proper logistical planning.

"[He thought] because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room. That’s how it works in 1973!”

However, it was what the singer had been 'writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager', adding: “This felt more like I was in an 80s John Hughes movie and he was just standing outside of my window with a boombox being like, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet’."

And his very romantic method seemed to work as the pair began dating in July 2023 and have been inseparable ever since.

Elsewhere in the episode, Taylor shared one of the things she loves about Travis, which she saw as a huge 'green flag' - his ability to maintain friendships.

The musician explained: “A huge green flag is that Travis has had the same friends since he was probably four years old."

She continued: "He’s incredibly good at maintaining friendships and is so loyal and his friends are equally loyal and the funniest, most hilarious group of people."

Taylor also revealed that after watching Travis shoot his shot at a relationship, a lot of her friends and family were in her ear, letting her know how great he is.

"My cousins were like, ‘Please please please, he’s amazing,'" she said. "There was a lot of people whispering in my ear about you, and that’s not normal. There are people just willing to go to bat for you."

She sweetly described her partner as 'a vibe booster in everyone’s life that he’s in' and 'a human exclamation point'.

At one point during the episode, she even seemed to let it slip that the pair now live together, when joking about how she can hear him recording the podcast while she's in the kitchen.

Of course, Travis also took the opportunity to throw some praise in Taylor's direction, as he told her: "She makes me so much better…It's like I've known you forever...it's like you've knocked my socks off.”

He adorably added: "She blew me away".
