Selena Gomez urges fans to consider ‘mental health’ amid Hailey Bieber drama

Selena Gomez urges fans to consider ‘mental health’ amid Hailey Bieber drama

The Only Murders in the Building actress has also asked her fans to be 'kinder' amid the ongoing 'feud'.

Selena Gomez has called for ‘kindness’ and for fans to 'consider others' mental health’ amid ongoing speculation about a feud between the 'Love You to Love Me' singer and Hailey Bieber.

While most of us would struggle to turn the other cheek, Gomez has begged her fans on social media to stop speculating about the alleged feud which reignited last week.

This hasn’t stopped fans from trolling Bieber though, especially after her multiple perceived jabs at Gomez.

Despite it being years since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez split, there are still constant rumours of a rift between her and his wife Hailey.

Fans first accused the supermodel of ‘stealing’ the 'Boyfriend' singer when he proposed to her just two months after he ended his eight-year relationship with Gomez.

While Hailey Bieber has denied this and even appeared on Call Her Daddy podcast in 2022 to address the rumours, it hasn’t stopped fans’ speculation.

She told listeners: “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody — that's the end of it.”

Bieber reignited rumours of a feud when she and Kylie Jenner posted a video appearing to mock Gomez for her ‘over-laminated’ eyebrows last week.

Gomez then added fuel to the fire as she commented on an old video of Hailey taunting Taylor Swift on TV to defend her friend.

As online speculation escalated, Gomez announced she was taking a break from social media.

However, she’s recently shared a new message on TikTok where she begged for fans to ‘be kind’ as she shared a new make-up tutorial on the platform.

In the comments, she wrote: “Thank you and love you all so much. I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.”

She added in a second post: “Please, please be kinder and consider others' mental health. My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”

It comes just hours after her ex-boyfriend appeared to throw shade at the actor.

For his 29th birthday, Justin Bieber handed out silver cowboy boot shaped lighters with the words: “I'm so thankful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted.”

Though the 'Love Yourself' singer didn’t address the meaning, many fans felt it was a petty swipe at his former partner after seeing images of the gift on social media.

While the war of the words might not be over between the Biebers and Gomez, the Wizards of Waverly Place actor is certainly winning on social media.

After the initial allegations, Hailey Bieber lost a staggering one million followers on Instagram as Gomez gained an additional 10 million.

Kill ‘em with kindness, eh Selena?
