Katherine Ryan calls Leonardo DiCaprio 'creepy' as he's spotted with teenage model

Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan branded Leonardo DiCaprio 'creepy' after he was spotted with a teenage model while thought to be dating a 23-year-old.

If you've been on the internet at all in the past few years, chances are you've seen at least one meme, tweet or joke about DiCaprio's apparent preference for women below the age of 25.

Women approaching their late 20s have joked they're now far too old for the movie star, while others have noted that Titanic's recent 25th anniversary would be enough to make DiCaprio want to disassociate himself from the flick.

While many of the posts are in good humour, there has been an undeniable trend in DiCaprio's dating life as the 48-year-old split up from his long-term girlfriend Camila Morrone last summer after four years together.

Their breakup came a few months after Morrone celebrated her 25th birthday, and DiCaprio is more recently thought to have dated 23-year-old Victoria Lamas.

Though Lamas was noticeably absent from Ebony Riley's recent EP release party when DiCaprio was spotted alongside 19-year-old model Israeli model Eden Polani.

After the pair were seen sitting next to one another, academic Dr Charlotte Proudman took to Twitter to share a news report about the sighting and wrote: "Not enough people are talking about Leonardo DiCaprio who is almost 50 - and 'getting close' to a 19 year old teenage girl."

Catherine Ryan was quick to point out that she had, in fact, made repeated reference to DiCaprio's relationships with younger women as she responded: "This is literally all I’ve talked about for SEVEN YEARS."

However, it wasn't long before supporters of DiCaprio responded to argue that there wasn't necessarily anything to talk about, because DiCaprio isn't technically doing anything wrong with his relationships.

Responding to Ryan's tweet, one person wrote: "They are both adult's [sic]. What's the crime?"

Ryan admitted that there was 'no crime', but added: "[There's] just a creepy pattern."

In an exchange with the comedian, author Caitlin Moran joked DiCaprio might have 'Titantic trauma', noting he was 'dating women like he's still the age he was when he shot it, and he's ALWAYS on holiday on a yacht'.

Drawing on this theory, Ryan replied: "This year, Titanic became too old for Leonardo DiCaprio to be in it."

The only woman over the age of 25 that DiCaprio is thought to have dated in public is model Gigi Hadid, 27, who he briefly dated last year.
