Katherine Ryan hit out at James Argent's 17-year age gap relationship after calling out Leonardo DiCaprio

Katherine Ryan hit out at James Argent's 17-year age gap relationship after calling out Leonardo DiCaprio

Katherine Ryan is not the biggest fan of big age gap relationships, as she recently criticised James Argent's.

Katherine Ryan has hit out at ex The Only Way is Essex star James Argent for dating a girl who is 17 years younger than him.

James, 35, has been dating Stella, 18, for close to nine months after they met at a wedding in Mykonos last year.

The unconventional couple actually maintain a long distance relationship, with Arg living in Essex and Stella residing in her home country of Italy.

Recently, the couple were spotted having a rather intimate moment together as they went on a romantic getaway to Venice.

James and Stella were spotted by press looking all loved-up, as they enjoyed a boat ride along the Grand Canal.

The pair cosied up to one another as they kissed while taking a selfie for memories sake.

One person who is not a massive fan of the romance is Katherine Ryan, who took to her Instagram stories to describe how she feels about relationships with big age gaps.

In a story where she cuddled up with daughter Fenna Grace, the 39-year-old comedian gave a moody glare to the camera, which she posted last month.

In the short video, the comedian zoomed into her face with a rather unimpressed look remaining at all times.

Katherine captioned the video on screen with: "Me - a mother - finding out a 35 Towie star has an 18 year old girlfriend."

Katherine is evidently not impressed by the relationship.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the 8 Out of 10 Cats star said: "I know that James Argent has had some rough times and I don’t want to heap criticism on someone who’s vulnerable.

"But at the end of the day, I have somehow become the poster woman for rallying against grown men, powerful men, famous men dating teenagers. I didn’t choose that life, that life chose me.

"I don’t think it's controversial to say that’s gross or weird and I’m very happy to continue beating that drum for as long as it takes."

Last month, Katherine branded Leonardo DiCaprio 'creepy' after he was spotted with a teenage model while thought to be dating a 23-year-old.

If you've been on the internet at all in the past few years, chances are you've seen at least one meme, tweet or joke about DiCaprio's apparent preference for women below the age of 25.

DiCaprio is thought to have been most recently dating 23-year-old Victoria Lamas, but he was spotted hanging out with 19-year-old Israeli model, Eden Polani - although a source denied anything romantic was going on.

After the pair were seen sitting next to one another, academic Dr Charlotte Proudman took to Twitter to share a news report about the sighting and wrote: "Not enough people are talking about Leonardo DiCaprio who is almost 50 - and 'getting close' to a 19 year old teenage girl."

Katherine was quick to join the conversation, saying that she repeatedly referenced DiCaprio's relationships with younger women, responding: "This is literally all I’ve talked about for SEVEN YEARS."
