Netflix subscribers were left in a state of fright after watching the scary sequel Don’t Breathe 2.

From literally ‘screaming’ to feeling ‘scared to be alone’, the movie has apparently had quite an impact on viewers.

Since the Rodo Sayagues-directed flick is a horror and a thriller, these are exactly the types of reviews you want to read before watching.

The original 2016 flick focused on three thieves who were hoping to break into the house of a blind man, Navy SEAL veteran Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang). But the trio meet their match as the uninvited dwellers become trapped and the silly scheme goes awry.

Now, Norman is back and even more of a savage in the 2021 sequel, which is set years after the deadly home invasion seen in the first film.

Don't Breathe 2 is scaring Netflix subscribers.

Viewers will see Norman living peacefully with Phoenix (Madelyn Grace), a young girl orphaned from a house fire who he has adopted. It’s all very calm until one day his sins from the past catch up with him when a group of kidnappers show up and abduct Phoenix.

After the film dropped on Netflix, many spooked viewers took to Twitter to share how it left them struggling to sleep.

One pleased viewer tweeted: “Just finished watching Don't Breathe 2. A totally different story line but the same intense action. Wew.”

A second Netflix subscriber tweeted: “I finally watched Don't Breathe 2 and my scary ass jumped the whole movie.”

Another commented: “More violent and gruesome than the first. Entire context changes from being scared of the blind guy to rooting for the blind guy.

Viewers are loving Don't Breathe 2.

“Thought it won't work but it actually did. Perfect theatre moments. Major portion of film stays true to its home invasion genre.”

Someone else penned: “Watching don't breathe 2 and if you know me I do NOT do scary movies. Yeah, I'm not staying home by myself tonight! I'm outta here.”

The frightening reviews come after Netflix viewers were left on the edge of their seats after watching the terrifying thriller-mystery movie Missing.

The feature-length film, which only hit the cinemas a few months back (21 April), stars Euphoria's Storm Reid and Nia Long and it has left people absolutely petrified.

It follows a mum, Grace (Long) who goes missing while on holiday with her boyfriend.

When Grace disappears, her daughter June's (Reid) search for answers is hindered by international red tape.

Stuck thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June creatively uses all the latest technology at her disposal to try and find her before it's too late.

However, as she digs ever deeper, her digital investigation soon raises more questions than answers...

Both films are available to stream right now.
