Ben Affleck confirms what was really being said during viral Grammys 'fight' with JLo

Ben Affleck has finally revealed what was really said during his viral Grammys moment with wife Jennifer Lopez.

The internet ignited with theories about what many assumed was a spat captured live on camera at the music event last month.

It all started when host Trevor Noah was performing a bit and noticed the Gone Girl star leaned in to his wife's ear for a brief word.

Viewers concluded that the 'Jenny from the Block' singer didn't look best pleased with whatever he said as they look to have a quick back and forth.

After a few seconds, they appear to notice that the camera has been rolling during their apparent squabble and the pair immediately return to smiley faces as Trevor continues speaking to the camera.

After Ben's apparent unenthused expression went viral, Jennifer joked about the memes when she posted the trailer for the upcoming Nike film Air, directed by and starring Ben, on Instagram.

The singer and actor selected a hilarious still image of Ben as his character, Phil Knight, for the thumbnail in which he stares intensely.

She captioned the post: "My husband's happy face."

People absolutely loved the cheeky swipe from JLo, with some fans calling her the 'queen of marketing'.

Now, Ben has shed light on the situation and explained that the couple - who tied the knot in July last year - were not having an argument and he was actually really excited to attend the Grammys.

Bennifer became the biggest viral moment at the Grammys this year.

“I had a good time at the Grammys,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “My wife was going, and I thought: ‘Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’ At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun.”

The Oscar winner recalled the moment he realised the camera was focused on them while Trevor presented.

“I was like: ‘Oh, God.’ They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling.

“I leaned into her and I was like: ‘As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.’ She goes: ‘You better f***ing not leave.’ That’s a husband-and-wife thing.”

Ben Affleck has now shed light on the situation.

Regarding his infamous resting bored face, Ben said he felt confused at the awards ceremony because he didn’t know some of the artists, unlike his chart-topping wife.

He continued: “I mean, some of it is, I’m like: ‘All right, who is this act?’ Like, I don’t keep up. My wife does, obviously. And yeah, it is your wife’s work event.

“And I’ve gone to events and been p*ssed off. I’ve gone and been bored. I’ve gone to award shows and been drunk, a bunch. Nobody ever once said I’m drunk,” he added.

Thankfully, there’s no trouble in paradise for Bennifer!
