Fans think they know what was said when Jay-Z leaned in to whisper in Beyoncé's ear after her Best Country Album win was announced at the Grammys.
The 2025 Grammy Awards were a resounding success for the singer, who also took home Album of the Year (finally) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Beyoncé accepted her award, after looking like a deer in the headlights when her name was called and told the audience she was ‘in shock’ for winning Best Country Album.

The 'Crazy in Love' singer claimed that she was ‘really not expecting this’ as Taylor Swift handed her the prize.
When she received the Album of the Year award, Beyoncé said she felt ‘honoured’, and added: "It's been many, many years and I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all the hard work."
But there were a couple of moments where she either appeared to say something or something was said to her.
Before she collected one of her awards, she was caught saying by lipreader Jeremy Freeman, who revealed she exclaimed: "Oh my God? I had no idea! What do I ..."
He then said that she turned her back, but he believes the word is 'say' or ‘do’.
People have also been speculating just what Jay-Z said to his wife when she won Best Country Album.
While he could have said anything remotely congratulatory, people actually think they’ve worked out what he said by her physical reaction afterwards. You can see the moment for yourself below:
According to one fan on X, Jay-Z was telling his wife 'that the underwire of her bra was showing before she went on stage'.
After he whispered in her ear, Beyoncé did appear to adjust her outfit.
Fans seemed to love the moment, with one writing: “A man who is actually mindful of potential wardrobe malfunctions.”
Another said: “That’s real love always looking out for each other.”
Meanwhile, a body language expert weighed in on whether the singer really was in shock when her name was called out and it appears that she was just as shook up as the rest of us.
Darren Stanton confirmed that her reaction was one of genuine ‘shock, surprise and disbelief’.
He told Betfair Slots: "She was a statue for a second, like a deer in the headlights. There was real genuine surprise.”
