A group of Ryan Seacrest's online followers have rushed to his defence, after the TV star was subjected to mass criticism over his appearance earlier this week.
The Wheel of Fortune presenter, 50, took to Instagram on Monday (30 Jun) to share a number of snaps of his daily life, captioning the collection 'Lately'. Several showed Seacrest relaxing in the garden with his pet dog, while another showed him whipping up something in the kitchen.
And as well as showing off his keen eye for fashion in a handful of images, others showed Seacrest working out in his home gym.
Sadly, however, the former American Idol front-man's latest online upload was quickly tainted by a number of trolls, several of whom used the opportunity to critique Seacrest on his looks.

A number accused the star of appearing 'frail' in his home workout pics, while some branded him 'too skinny' and encouraged him to 'eat more', despite Seacrest never having alluded to poor health behind-the-scenes.
Thankfully, though, it didn't take long for fans to take a stand against the image-based criticism, one of whom pointed out that he likely wouldn't be subjected to such scrutiny over his physique if he were a woman.
"IT IS NOT OK TO COMMENT ON SOMEONES BODY. Period," said follower hit out. "Just because he is a man/celebrity.

"THIS IS HIS PERSONAL ACCOUNT. He is a real human who has feelings and ages and CHANGES."
They continued: "Your concern for him is laced in judgment and is just plain rude. IT IS NOT OK TO COMMENT ON ANYONES BODY. Would you say these things to his face? Then don’t say them here."
Another of Seacrest's fans agreed that there's no room for such criticism online, adding to the comments: "I just think it’s rude to tell someone they are too skinny. I get told this a lot and I cannot help it with medication I am on.

"Be positive and encouraging, y’all."
A third also wrote: "For those saying he looks 'too thin' … did yall just start following him?
"I’ve been watching this man since I was a kid and he looks the SAME."
According to Page Six, a source close to Seacrest addressed the appearance-oriented criticism he has been subjected to this week, claiming the star has 'recently been doing a new workout routine'.

"Working out with a new trainer, Dodd Romero, combined with Pilates and yoga for the first time," they continued.
"That’s created a visible change. He’s also been enjoying vacation time this summer and eating lots of pasta."
Tyla contacted Seacrest's representatives for comment.
