The time has come to check back in with the magical crew at The Alfea College for Fairies with the long awaited return of Fate: The Winx Saga. Watch the magical first look below:

The hit coming-of-age Netflix drama tells the story of six fairies as they learn to use their powers all while dealing with regular teen love triangles and the occasional war with mythical creatures.

Based on the cult Italian animated series of the same name, the current season has a host of shocking revelations including Bloom’s real age and an apparent connection to another hit Netflix series.

If you take an extra close look at the jacket worn by Aisha, fans of Sex Education will recognise a familiar dolphin logo.

Beyond the apparent shared universe between the show young adult-themed shows, fans of Fate: The Winx Saga have given the second batch of episodes their sign of approval.

Some have even gone as far as saying season two is better than the first and following the release of the seven-episode second season, Fate: The Winx Saga has cracked the top 10 trending chart on Netflix - meaning it's currently one of Netflix's most watched in the world.

One fan on Twitter wrote: "in conclusion, the second season of fate: the winx saga was definitely a step on the right direction when it comes to this life action adaptation. this season had a lot more of love put into it than the first one and it shows. it's not perfect by any means, but it was very good."

Another viewer shared this sentiment and praised the visual effects and cast. They tweeted: "Just watched the second season of “Fate: The Winx Saga” and I really enjoyed it better than season one. The cast's performance and chemistry are amazing, the visual effects are decent, and the story has gotten more interesting. #FateTheWinxSaga."

While a third Twitter user reacted to season three with the utmost praise. "Just finished the season 2 of fate the winx saga and it was AMAZING," they tweeted.

Other fans are demanding a third season after bingeing all the season two episodes in one go.

One enthusiastic fan has made it clear the exact number of additional seasons they need to get their Winx fix. "Im getting my winx fate season 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 idc. Like it’s soooo much material they can work with. This kinda my Pretty Little Liars," they shared.

Meanwhile, a second fan simply said: "I NEED SEASON 3 OF FATE THE WINX SAGA!"

Someone else wrote: "If Netflix doesn't renew Winx Saga season 3, I'm going to riot."

Although Netflix has remained quiet regarding a third season, Entertainment Weekly recently published an interview with showrunner Brian Young about what the future may hold for the The Winx Saga.

He said: "The goal is to answer what is the Realm of Darkness. How is Bloom and her mom connected to it? Also, how it connects to our big overall mythology, which we sprinkled in a little bit of in season 2.”

Our fingers and toes are crossed!

Both seasons of Fate: The Winx Saga are available to stream on Netflix now.
