Rupert Grint says he's got his daughter her very own Harry Potter robes

There's only one house for her, isn't there?

Rupert Grint has perhaps come out with the cutest confession ever after he revealed his toddler already has her own Hogwarts robes.

The Harry Potter star welcomed his baby girl into the world back in 2020 and he and his partner, Georgia Groome, have been extremely private when it comes to their little family.

In an interview with GQ, the 34-year-old opened up about being a parent and trying to explain to his child who he is and why he's so famous.

I mean, having to sit your kids down and tell them you're a wizard is pretty unusual, you've got to admit.

And Grint said that he's really leant into his past, buying his daughter, Wednesday, some gowns from the film.

But what house would she be in? With a name inspired by The Addams Family, you might expect Slytherin, right?

Come on. It could only ever be Gryffindor, couldn't it?

The actor said, though, that with her still being so young, she doesn't really get the whole 'famous dad' thing just yet.

"I’ve shown her clips from Potter but I don’t think she understands it’s me," Grint said.

"When she’s old enough, I’m looking forward to watching them with her."

However, while a whole generation of us grew up with our own version of Harry, Ron and Hermione, Grint says he's ready for the day when the films are remade, and another actor takes it on.

He said: "I’d love to see Harry Potter be adapted into a TV show.

"I think it would really work. I’m sure the films will get remade, anyway."

I really hope he's wrong.

Grint recently discussed the inspiration behind his daughter's name.

As I said earlier, it's an homage to The Addams Family, though Grint says he doesn't really like to admit it.

Grint said: "Well... I mean, I'm always hesitant to say The Addams Family! But yeah, it was kind of The Addams Family.

"Just always loved the name... it kind of memorable."

Her full name is actually Wednesday G. Grint, which her proud dad said was also inspired by a Hollywood icon.

"Samuel L. Jackson kind of inspired that," Grint said when asked about what the 'G' stood for in his daughter's name.

"Yeah we love the idea of, like, an initial like 'Samuel L. Jackson', 'Michael J. Fox', that kind of 'speaking the initials'. So she's Wednesday G. Grint."

Grint then went on to discuss fatherhood in more detail during his appearance on the popular US chat show, with him revealing how Wednesday has spent most of her life in America due to him filming his show Servant in Philadelphia.

He added: "She does love Philly. She loves hoagies, she loves water ice. And I mean the big one is Target. She is obsessed with Target.

"She'd choose that over going to the park, or zoo. But she loves going to different Targets and seeing how the layout is kind of slightly different."
