Riverdale fans often criticise the teen drama’s fantastical plot twists and impromptu musical numbers but viewers showered one particular scene in the latest episode with the utmost praise.
Betty (Lili Reinhart) realises her period is late and she decides to take a pregnancy test. Her boyfriend Archie (KJ Apa) is there to offer some kind and supportive words that have reduced fans to tears.

The scene was an unusually grounded moment in the long-running CW series and fans are celebrating this tender moment on social media.
One overwhelmed fan tweeted: “OH FAWK WHEN ARCHIE SAID HE’S ALL IN IF BETTY TURNS OUT TO BE PREGNANT AND SHE DROPPED A TEAR INSTANTLY AND THEN THE MUSIC STARTED PLAYING WHO WROTE THIS”.

Before taking the test, Archie and Betty have a heart-to-heart about why Archie continues to live in such a wretched, cursed town and he admits it’s because he wants to raise a family there one day.
Let’s all send some positive vibes for Archie’s future child because they’re gonna need it.
Archie and Betty may actually be closer to becoming parents than they think. Luckily for Betty, Archie reassures her that no matter what happens regarding the test, he’s “all in”.
