The topic of this year's season of Love Island drawing to a close is finally being addressed on social media, and they are wondering where the iconic challenges are!

This includes the famous baby challenge that tests the couples' parenting skills, the lie detector, and of course, the controversial tweet challenge. Fans think the yellow bean bag is cursed:

Now, fans are taking to Twitter to question where the challenges are after an episode that predominately centred around the arrival of four new bombshells.

This made for interesting viewing, but the established couples seemed unwilling to budge in the face of the likes of Nathalia's advances.

"Where's the tweet challenge, baby challenge and lie detector?" questioned one fan.

A second pleaded: "Give us a juicy episode with the tweet challenge or throw a few babies in the mix."

"Never mind this bombshell nonsense. Bring back the baby challenge," demanded a third.

"Where is the family episode, the baby challenge, the tweet challenge, the boujie dates [sic]. I do not want to watch Dami fart or lick any more feet," slammed a fourth viewer.

Meanwhile, one viewer said that they typically lose interest at this stage in the show, even if the apparently missing challenges take place.

"This is around the time when I stop watching Love Island each year. Happy couples on reality tv? Baby challenge? Meeting the parents? No thanks, see you next year lol."

Fans' complaints come after former England football player Michael Owen confirmed that he would not be participating in a meet the parents event.

As reported by the Daily Mail, he said: "My wife will do that duty. I'll represent the horses and she'll represent the daughter."

He explained that he wasn't worried about his daughter on the reality TV show, despite her being the youngest contestant.

Michael added: "I know what I'm going to get from my daughter. I've fathered her for 19 years so I'm pretty sure what I'm going to get from her."

Love Island continues tomorrow on ITV2 at 9 pm, and it looks like the bombshells will struggle to break up any existing couples.

Tonight's episode closed with Adam admitting to Paige that, after going on a date with Nathalia, he is actually closed off to other women.

Yes, despite his reputation from his first stint on the show in 2018, he is seemingly willing to commit to someone who he has only known for a week!
