Love Island Fans Losing It After Davide Says Ekin-Su Is 'Expired'

Love Island Fans Losing It After Davide Says Ekin-Su Is 'Expired'

Viewers were shocked at the comment.

Despite the pair having an explosive row earlier in the series, it seems like Love Island's Ekin-Su and Davide could have unfinished business.

While many of the other islanders - and viewers at home - have noticed a lingering connection between the two, it seems Davide is still adamant the pair will not rekindle their romance.

And fans were losing it during Monday (27 June) evening's episode, after Davide described Ekin-Su as being 'expired' for him.

Fans think there could be unfinished business.

During a conversation with Jay, who asked Davide if anything was still there between the two, Davide said: "It's hard to explain... I just feel, it's not going in a romantic way... she's like expired for me."

And viewers at home couldn't get over the comment, with one writing on Twitter: "I still can’t get over Davide calling Ekin Su expired."

While another added: "Ain’t no way davide just called her expired."

And a third said: "Did Davide just reduced Ekin-su to an expired good?"

Others were not happy, however, with another tweeting: "Referring to a woman as ‘expired’ is actually vile."

Viewers were divided over the comment.

Elsewhere in Monday's episode, fans have been comparing Ekin-Su to Gossip Girl after an incident with Gemma Owen.

After infamously crawling to the terrace to have a cheeky kiss with Jay Younger, which has gone down as one of the most iconic moments in Love Island history, Ekin-Su delivers another drama-filled episode and viewers couldn't be more excited.

In Monday's episode, Dami attempts to read Gemma Owen’s mind to decipher where her heads is at regarding her coupling with Luca Bish.

“You’re happy with Luca right now,” Dami tells Gemma and Ekin-Su, who is also in attendance for the mindreading session.

“I feel like it would take a lot for your head to turn but there is a small chance that it probably could if someone really came in that was 100 percent you.

“I feel like that is where the confusion would probably come for you because we’re not here to play games. I feel like you’re still open in a sense, probably more open than Luca.”

Gemma was not impressed.

Gemma confesses: Yeah, that was quite impressive. I don’t think you’re that far wrong.”

After Dami says the conversation should stay private, Ekin-Su relays the ‘reading’ to Paige and Jacques, who then tells his bestie Luca.

And once it comes back to Gemma, it all kicks off as she confronts Ekin.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
