The new series introduces another assortment of expats and locals to Emily’s fash pack, but it’s the gorgeous Alfie that has set tongues wagging.
Alfie acts as Emily’s new love interest, with the Brit-based businessman meeting the American at one of their French classes – and his stunning good looks means he quickly catches Emily’s eye.
But as much as we’re also lusting over Alfie, other Emily in Paris fans have recognised him from a show that’s a little closer to home.
Yep, Alfie is played by Lucien Laviscount, who many of us would have recognised from BBC One’s legendary school based drama, Waterloo Road.
For those of you who didn’t watch Waterloo Road (you missed out), Lucien played Jonah Kirby, who started attending the troubled school after years of being homeschooled.
While he initially had a relationship with the headmistress’s daughter, Jess Fisher, Jonah found himself in real trouble when he embarked on an affair with his Spanish teacher, Francesca Montoya.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to point out where they’d spotted Alfie before – and it looks as if Waterloo Road fans love a bit of Emily in Paris too.
“NOT THE NEW GUY, ALFIE IN EMILY IN PARIS BEING THE KID WHO MARRIES HIS TEACHER IN WATERLOO ROAD!” one person laughed.
A second added: “Can we just all appreciate Lucien Laviscount, who played Jonah in Waterloo Road and now Emily in Paris season 2?”
“Jonah from Waterloo road is in the new series of Emily in Paris and I’m in love with him all over again,” a third gushed
“Lucien Laviscount from Waterloo Road being in Emily in Paris season 2 is enough to make me SWOOOOOON!” melted another.
While a fifth ardent fan added: “Stop did I fancy Lucien in Waterloo road and now he is in Emily in Paris and I still find him f***ing stunning.”
The new series of Emily in Paris sees Emily torn between her former flame, Gabriel, and the gorgeous Alfie.
Emily, we beg you, choose Alfie – us Brits do it best!
Emily in Paris is available to stream on Netflix.
