We were so excited to see Sex and the City return to our screens in And Just Like That, which sees Miranda, Carrie and Charlotte navigate life, love and New York in their fifties.
However, while social media was abuzz to see Carrie and co return for another outing, there was someone who definitely wasn’t tuning in to the new series – Kim Cattrall.

The legendary actor, who played Samantha throughout the original series of Sex and the City, chose not to return to the reboot, in part due to a well-documented feud with Sarah Jessica Parker.
While Kim has chosen not to speak on record in regards to the reboot, she’s made her feelings known in the most snarky way possible: Twitter likes.

Kim, 65, liked a series of tweets related to the show, that were primarily about how much they missed her presence as Samantha.
One tweet she liked reads: “And just like that…I want to rewatch the 2014 HBO Canada prestige Toronto-set dramedy Sensitive Skin starring Kim Cattrall.”
While another read: “And just like that… I find myself only wanting to watch anything @KimCattrall is in. This is a Kim appreciation tweet..”

And a third joked: “Kim Cattrall didn’t return to SATC because her scatting career is finally taking off.”
Samantha’s absence in the series is explained in the first episode of And Just Like That; she fell out with Carrie after she was sacked as her publicist, and escaped to a new job over in England.
However, it seems that the door is open for Kim to slide back in as Samantha, should she choose to.
“Carrie is the one who has the tough time without Samantha and by the end of And Just Like That, you'll see Carrie extend the olive branch and try and rekindle the friendship,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“We have high hopes that by the time we begin filming the second season, Kim will have joined the show and Samantha Jones can make a triumphant return to the Big Apple.
“We want Kim back. She was missed on set. We all understand why she feels the way she does. We get it. We just want her to come back for future seasons.”
Well, after seeing these tweets, we won't holding our breath.
