And Just Like That: Sex And The City Reboot Will Feature 'Lots Of Sex'

And Just Like That: Sex And The City Reboot Will Feature 'Lots Of Sex'

Just what we like to hear.

Naturally, all of us Sex And The City fans were delighted with the news that Carrie and co were coming back for a brand new series.

The revival, titled And Just Like That, will see Carrie (played by legend Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) navigate life, love and New York City while in their fifties.

There were concerns that the new series will be far from the original early noughties Sex And The City that we all grew up loving – particularly as Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha, confirmed she had no desire to return to the franchise following a long-standing feud with Sarah Jessica Parker.

However, it seems And Just Like That, which will hit screens next month, will be just as raunchy, fiery and witty as its predecessor.

Yep, sex may not be in the title of the Sex And The City reboot, but it’s certainly on the agenda.

Actor Nicole Ari Parker, who plays Lisa in the reboot (whose character looks set to replace Samantha around the brunch table) told Vogue that she was glad to see that the series was embracing errors that the original Sex And The City made when it came to diversity (or the notable lack of it).

“The writers are skilful about having the characters, whether they’re of colour or not, acknowledge the newness they’re experiencing. But it all fits in with the same beloved tone of the show. The clothes alone are to die for,” she said.

“And let me tell you, there’s still a lot of sex in this version of Sex and the City.

While details have been kept sparse about the new series, spoilers have revealed that Carrie and Big may be on thin ice in the new series.

But could Carrie and Big be parting ways? (

While Chris Noth, who plays the financier, was spotted out filming in Paris with co-star Sarah Jessica, it seems Jon Tenney may be Carrie’s new love interest, as the actor was seen kissing Sarah Jessica in scenes being filmed in New York.

Big’s ex Natasha (played by Bridget Moynahan) and Carrie’s former fiance Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) will also be returning for the new series.

Things are definitely set to get steamy…

And Just Like That lands on Sky Comedy and NOW in December.
