It's true what they say. Everyone looks better with a tan.

But what about a week or so in, when your once golden glow becomes patchy and begins to fade?

Tan-oholics and beauty buffs will know that regularly exfoliating is the answer. But it doesn't always completely remove stubborn patches, and quite frankly scrubbing away for hours isn't an option for those of us without a lot of time on our hands.

So, for the busy girls amongst us, one salon has now invented what can only be described as a groundbreaking alternative. Now, you can get your hands on a bath bomb that promises to "melt" all fake tan from your body with just a ten minute soak. Dreamy.

Psst...We have exciting news to share about the future of Pretty 52

Lusso Tan

Produced by sisters and fake tan experts Lynsey Bennett, Leah White and Sarah White - who have owned a tanning salon since 2002 - the Lusso Tan Bath Bomb is the easiest and most relaxing way to rid your skin of any unwanted tan.

The Belfast based trio have always been bath bomb fanatics, and after two years of creating their own hugely popular tanning products, noticed there was a gap in a market to combine the two.

Lynsey told Pretty 52: "If you tan every single day, you'll know taking the tan off can be a challenge sometimes. And we were saying, 'What if you had a bath bomb that took your tan off for you?' Then, that was it, we just ran with it."

It wasn't long before the sisters were testing over 50 combinations of essential oils to create the perfect product, which is vegan and completely cruelty free.

The end result costs £8.50 on the Lusso Tan website - which is a steal considering it is packed full of avocado oil, lemon essential oils, witch hazel & jojoba oil to repair and protect the skin, on top of removing your patchy tan.

As a busy mother of young twins herself, creating a bath bomb that was both practical but also a treat for busy women was always the main objective for Lynsey.

"Because we largely market our product at mummies, it's not just about applying a tan," she said. "We try to incorporate looking after yourself, taking time out to really enjoy what you're doing.

"When I get my girls out to hockey on a Wednesday night, I run the bath, put the bath bomb in, light some incense and just really enjoy it. We want you to take ten minutes of your day just for you."

The bath bombs are part of an extended range of products

Explaining how's to use the bath bomb to get rid of that tan, Lynsey confirmed that it really is as simple as it sounds.

"Put the bath bomb in, it fizzes up and has a lovely milky texture to it, then the tan just melts off with all the essential oils," she explained.

"We actually then advise you sleep in the oils to ensure your skin soaks up as much moisture as possible before re-applying your tan".

While the tan will completely vanish during your bath, having a quick exfoliate too will help to keep your skin silky smooth and ready for a new coat of colour.
