Woman Horrified As "Balayage" Gone Wrong Leaves Her Hair Steaming

Woman Horrified As "Balayage" Gone Wrong Leaves Her Hair Steaming

The worst hair day.

With lockdown slowly starting to lift, salons being open and a bevy of social plans now on the horizon, many of us are heading to the hairdressers to finally get our tresses tamed.

The time spent indoors has seen several of us consider a brand new 'do for summer, with one girl revealing she wanted to transform her locks with a stylish new balayage look.

Taking to TikTok, the girl, who goes by the username @_coco_04xo, showed off her long brown hair alongside a picture of the balayage look she was hoping for.

"This was my hair Saturday morning, I went into the salon asking for balayage," she wrote.

"This is what I showed the hairdresser I wanted."

The poor woman in question then posted a shot of her 'after' - and it's certainly not a balayage.

Instead of a subtly blended-in blonde, the vast majority of the girl's hair was bleached a gingery, copper colour, with a chunk of her brown roots at the top of her crown left on show.

The treatment on her poor tresses was so rough, the girl claims her hair was left 'steaming' by the whole experience.

"This was the 'balayage' she left me with," she wrote. "My head was steaming.

"She didn't even try to blend it, instead she bleached my whole head and left my hair in the worst condition."

We'd be fuming if that was us!

And it seems that getting a balayage is risky business, after we told you last week that one woman was forced to cut off 12 inches of her hair after her dye fail.

Sharing the results on her page, she wrote: "Yes this was done at a salon, no this was not her first 'balayage.' Yes I got my money back and reported her. #hairfail".

Yikes. We'll stick to our messy manes for now, thanks.
