For many not so natural blondes, lockdown easing has meant finally heading to the hairdresser and sorting out those rather grown out roots.
But one woman didn't quite get what she bargained for when she asked for 'subtle' blonde highlights and balayage.
The TikTok user, who goes by the name Brenda, was left with a mess of a hair dye job instead of the glossy new locks she had asked for.

Sharing the results on her page, she wrote: "Yes this was done at a salon, no this was not her first "balayage." Yes I got my money back and reported her. #hairfail".

Alongside the caption, a video of Brenda's patchy hair-dye results appeared, and let's just say, it didn't look like a balayage in the slightest.
Instead of the stylish faded blonde look she'd asked for, her hair appeared brassy, and her roots were still very much visible, and sat wonkily at the top of her head.
Reacting to the vid, users were alarmed that anybody let her walk out the salon with hair quite so botched.
A fellow hairdresser wrote: "I was about to be upset with you, thinking you were going to be over reacting but omg! I would never let a client of mine leave like that!".

"I really couldn't believe she thought this was okay," Brenda replied. "And then she said I should've let her fix it??? And end up bald? No ma'am."
"So...she took the pic and continued to look at it... proudly?????," another baffled TikToker wrote.
"Why can't stylists just say they can't do something," said a third. "Ruined your hair".
"As a hairstylist I don't even know how someone could mess it up so bad!," a fellow hairdresser exclaimed.

The TikTok user went on to reveal that in the end she had to go to another stylist to fix the mess, and was forced to have several inches chopped off her hair as a result.
And to make matters worse? She revealed in another comment that the hairdresser was her mum's friend.
We think we'd be ending a friendship over this look...
