A woman has claimed that her boyfriend dumped her at the spookiest time of the year for wearing an 'inappropriate' Halloween costume.

Taking to TikTok to recount the incident, Pia Blossom, 25, revealed that she'd gone for the pretty popular choice of wearing a Playboy bunny costume one Halloween. Check out the video here:

"I got dumped over a Halloween costume," she said at the start of the now-viral TikTok before showing a picture of the outfit that her then-boyfriend couldn't handle.

She explained that if the outfit still fitted her, she'd 'wear it tomorrow' and added of her blood-stained face and neck: "I was like a dead Playboy bunny."

The TikToker said that she wore the famous outfit with dark tights, and while she did have a picture of her behind in the outfit, she didn't want to risk getting into trouble with the platform - so that was left to the imagination.

"My very new boyfriend was angling for an invite on this night out, but I was only going out with two girls," Blossom explained.

"I ignored his hints because it would have just been weird, but when I posted [the costume] on my Instagram before going out, he text me saying, 'Are you actually wearing that outside? I can see your whole a**'."

She clarified: "He basically told me he thought that it was inappropriate."

Blossom said he then offered her a solution - she could still wear the outfit if she wore leggings to cover herself up more.

"I was at my friend's house ready to go at this point and he's like, 'Can you ask to borrow some leggings from her or something? And wear leggings instead of tights?'" she revealed.

However, the TikToker refused to change her outfit and continued her night out as planned, which did not go down well with her new boyfriend.

Things then took another turn for the worst when she met a man in a 'giant egg costume' who let her try it on.

The egg costume was a step too far for the boyfriend.

"I literally put the egg costume on over the top and took my leotard out from underneath. I mistakenly thought that my boyfriend would love this because now I have no boobs and no bum [on display]," she said.

She then decided to post a picture of her new outfit on Instagram and her new boyfriend made a lot of assumptions.

Blossom said that he called her repeatedly: "He's like, 'Whose costume is that?!'

"I said, 'I don't know, I thought you'd like it! You can't see my boobs or my bum anymore - I'm an egg'."

But unfortunately this did not placate the man, who proceeded to go 'psycho' and accused her of 'sleeping with the man in egg costume'.

"I did not sleep with the man for the egg costume, it was a very even trade," she said. "I hung up, turned my phone off, carried on with my night out with my friends and never saw him again."

But while the TikToker hoped that would be the end of her ordeal, she was shocked to learn that her ex-boyfriend had proceeded to tell people in their town that she had sex in exchange for a Halloween costume.

Her new boyfriend had wanted to come on the night out.

Viewers of the story were of the consensus that Blossom had dodged a bullet after watching.

"Sounds like a lucky escape for you!!!!!" one declared, while a second added: "Nice of him to show his true colours so early on, what a sweetie."

A third couldn't help but joke: "you mean I've been giving egg costumes to everyone I've slept with for no reason!???"
