After giving birth, most people return home to cards, bouquets of flowers and (hopefully) a nice, chilled bottle of bubbles in the fridge.

But when doting mum Loren Ahinnawa returned home from the hospital with her newborn, Massimo, in tow, it wasn’t long before she realised she was already pregnant again.

Loren documents her life with two tots less than a year apart on TikTok, which is where she explained to her followers that ‘just when she had life as a new mum figured out, she found out she was expecting another baby’.

Watch Loren explain her story below:

Referring to her little ones as ‘Irish twins’, Loren welcomed little Massimo on 27 November 2020, and less than a year later - on 26 October 2021 - her daughter Camila was born.

Alongside a photo of Massimo, Loren shared: "Our baby boy, born November 27th, 2020 - left the hospital ready to take on parenting life."

She added: “And just when we thought we had it all figured out… boom! Irish twins. Our baby girl born October 26th 2021.”

"The best thing God ever blessed me with," Loren sweetly captioned her post.

Loren also told her followers about the frustrating comments she’s often met with when out and about with her children in public.

In a separate clip, she wrote: “Things people have said to us when we tell them we have two under one."

Loren gave: "WOW, you guys didn't waste any time” and "I don't know how you do it," as examples of comments she’s received from people.

Fellow Tiktoker Allanah Harris - who has ‘Irish twins’ - also recently opened up about raising two kids less than a year apart in age.

Allanah found out she was pregnant again shortly after welcoming her son, Chase, and despite the fact she was using birth control.

On her social media page, which has racked up almost 350,000 followers, 30-year-old Allanah explains that she fell pregnant with Ellie ‘right away’ after welcoming Chase, despite her doctor suggesting she have an intrauterine device (IUD) implanted.

“‘The IUD is the best form of contraception,’” Allanah said her physician had told her.

“‘Plus, you’re breastfeeding, so you’re less likely to fall pregnant,’” she added in a cheeky clip, before the camera panned to her holding Ellie.

“Well, s**t,” the doting mum hilariously added.

Allanah is also stepmum to her partner Brock’s five-year-old son from a different relationship, and tragically lost her firstborn, a little girl named Lilly nine months before Chase’s birth.
