Have you ever wondered what the back of a post box really looks like?
Whenever we slide some post into our bright red boxes, we’ve often left wondering where our letters are heading off to.
Well, ponder no more, as one Yorkshire-based postie has revealed just what the inside of numerous post boxes look like on his route.

Taking to Reddit’s r/CasualUK page, user @yorkshire_lad69 shared the inside of three post boxes – including a glimpse of a post box in a stone wall.

It looks as if post boxes aren’t quite portals to Narnia after all.
People on the thread were intrigued to see what the inside of these post boxes looked like, taking to the comment section to express their surprise.

“No tiny people inside sorting the letters? How odd!” one whimsical person joked.

“That's so cool, genuinely! I'd never realised they had different interiors,” said a second enthusiastic post junkie. “I just assumed it was a literal blank box, not with some fancy bag or metal tray inside them!”
“The last box is obviously in the process of becoming a Dalek,” a third person joked, while a fourth said: “I find this strangely fascinating.”

Other people were blown away by this postie’s impressive set of keys, with this Reddit user boasting quite the hefty keyring with numerous keys.

“That bunch of keys though. Phwoar,” one key enthusiast gasped, while another agreed: “Came here for this comment, one helleva set of keys!”
And other people asked what was the weirdest thing this postman had found when opening one of the big red boxes – and the answer may make you gag.

“The strangest thing, (probably not classed as strange) but found some worn thong, strawberry flavoured condoms (unused) and plenty of small bags of powder in city centre,” he said.
