The Prince of Wales has kept heads spinning this year with seemingly ceaseless new looks.

And this week, it looks as though he's gone back to a rather relaxed aesthetic, despite having previously boasted a clean-shaven appearance during public endeavours.

Fans first came face-to-face with a beardy-looking William last month, when he and wife Kate Middleton recorded a home-video and posted it to Instagram.

In the clip, the Prince of Wales could be seen joining a reel filled with famous faces - including David Beckham, Snoop Dogg and Emma Willis - congratulating the athletes who competed at the 2024 Olympic Games this summer.

"Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey!" The caption read.

It wasn't the royal couple's sweet message that attracted mass attention from viewers, instead it was William's apparent new look, after the future king could be seen rocking the beginnings of a beard.

It's true, in case you didn't catch it at the time - the man that is first-in-line to the British throne appeared to be emanating a 90s pop star, as he sported some stubble in the video.

And as we say, the new look certainly did not go a miss from fans of the Wales', many of whom took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: "William with a tan and a beard!!!!"

Another said: "You both look amazing!!!!! Love the scruff W!!! Catherine you look stunning!!"

And a third added: "Great to Catherine again, and William unshaved haha, it’s been years since we’ve seen that, what a sight!"

While someone else added: "I had to watch that again, just to see William’s stubble - wowza!"

In the weeks that followed his Olympic message, however, the Prince was subsequently spotted at a Royal appointment, donning his traditional, clean-shaven look.

Being papped driving to Crathie Kirk church near Balmoral Castle in Scotland with Kate on 25 August - just weeks after his social media wish went live - he'd seemingly banished the rugged look.

Naturally, beard-lovers were devastated by the father-of-three's facial hair U-turn at the time, with many hoping he'd soon return to his 'alter-ego'.

And thankfully, it seems as though their prayers have been answered, as it look as though the 42-year-old's beard is finally back.

Stepping out in London with Kate today (5 September) to visit the Saatchi Gallery's recently established Homelessness: Reframed exhibit - created in collaboration with the Eleven Eleven Foundation and the Prince's Homewards campaign - he could once again be seen with the beginnings of a big bushy beard.

One fan wrote on X: "William's beard is back and he's never looked better! Let's hope he keeps the razor away this time ... because this glow-up is [fire emoji]."

While another simply praised: "Love the beard."

Put that on Team Tyla's 2024 list of 'things we love to see'.
