The Royal Family were pleased when Meghan Markle resigned from Suits in 2017, the wife of her former co-star has claimed.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Eliza Roberts, the wife of actor Eric Roberts, alleged this week that several senior members of the monarchy had long raised concerns regarding the 'very sexy' nature of Meghan's role in the legal drama.
Prior to marrying Prince Harry in 2018, the actress had played paralegal Rachel Zane - the love interest of central character Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) - for seven years. Eric, meanwhile, joined the show in 2015, playing the recurring character Charles Forstman.
Discussing 44-year-old Meghan's impressive career, and the Royal Family's response to her racier moments, talent manager and Eric's wife, Eliza, told the publication: "Her making love with another man, that was just — they’ve never seen anything like that."

"She worked so hard to get there. That was just too much."
Eliza, 73, added: "Women don’t give up their jobs for a marriage anymore."
Aside from Suits, Meghan also starred in several other blockbuster projects, including Get Him to the Greek, Horrible Bosses, and 90210.
Despite hailing the mother-of-two for her portrayal of Zane, Eliza claimed she understands Meghan's 'intention' behind stepping away from her career, after which she became a senior member of the monarchy.
In 2020, however, both she and Harry announced their resignation from their royal responsibilities, citing severe mistreatment from several of the Duke's senior relatives. Amongst their bombshell claims was that they'd been subjected to questioning regarding the skin tone of their son, Archie.

Since fleeing the UK and setting up shop in California, the couple have thrown themselves into both humanitarian and production work through their brand Archewell. Meghan also launched a bespoke lifestyle brand, As Ever, and fronted a Netflix docu-series, With Love, Meghan, giving fans a look at her A-list dinner parties.
Last year, it was announced that the American star would be returning to the entertainment industry by working on a comedy-drama film titled Close Personal Friends. She was first spotted on set in Pasadena, California, back in November, after which reports emerged that she'd be making a cameo.
Eliza claimed she'd be pleased to see Meghan re-emerging in entertainment, describing her as 'a young woman who needs to be acting'.
"Meghan is a star," she added. "From the second you see her, she just has star quality. It doesn’t matter. It was always going to happen."
