Meghan Markle has been accused of 'hijacking' Christmas by trolls online, and people are not happy.

Ever since Meghan and Prince Harry stepped away from the Royal Family and moved to California, there have been rumours of remaining tensions between the couple and the rest of the family.

Two years ago, Harry released his tell-all biography, Spare, in which he made shocking claims about his family and upbringing.

The bestselling biography saw the Duke of Sussex detailing examples of severe maltreatment that he and his wife, Meghan, reportedly endured while serving as working royals.

He also made allegations that his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, had 'bullied' the former Suits actress on several occasions. Meanwhile, in one instance, he wrote that Kate had reduced Meghan to tears over a bridesmaids’ dress that needed to be 'remade' for her daughter Princess Charlotte, claiming to have found his wife 'sobbing on the floor'.

Now living in the US, Meghan and Harry keep much of their personal life private, but they have given Netflix viewers a glimpse into their lifestyle when Meghan released her show, With Love, Meghan, earlier this year.

However, some recent news about the show has caused a bit of a stir among fans.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, has been criticised online after speculation that her recent show, With Love, Meghan, is scheduled to air a Christmas special around the same time as Kate's festive concert.

Bizarrely, some royal fans think it was a deliberate move.

Royal expert, Hugo Vickers, told The Sun: "It's always said that whenever Catherine the Princess of Wales starts something that Meghan Markle does something else to cap it, or in some ways clash with it.

"Maybe that is the case. Obviously, there are lots of Christmas shows around Christmas.

"Having said that, of course, the initiative of the Princess of Wales at Westminster Abbey is incredibly moving and incredibly special, and is done for the benefit of the rest of the world, for all the people who've been suffering, all the people who've helped with charities, all that sort of thing, so it's all for the public good.”

Meghan fans have been left stunned by the accusation, with one writing on Twitter: "After #PrinceHarry & #Meghan 'extend' their #Netflix deal.

"THE GRAPES HAVE TURNED EXTREMELY SOUR THERE IN THE UK, they are accusing #PrinceHarry and #Meghan of 'hijacking Christmas.' Yes, really.

"And since when did Kate (and the Royals) own Christmas?"

Meanwhile, another asked: "When was the last time Meghan Markle was at an official Royal function?

"When was she last in a royal tiara with other world royals?

"For that matter, when was the last time she was in England?

"That’s Princess Catherine’s world. Not Meghan’s."

And a third added: "They have now started going from the ridiculous to insanity!"

Tyla has reached out to Meghan and Kate's reps for comment.
