A body language expert has shared their insights into how Kate Middleton felt as she showed off a major appearance change earlier this week.

Now, the Princess of Wales was first seen debuting her brand-new look last month (24 August) during a family outing alongside Prince William.

And, it's safe to say that ever since, people have been dying to catch another glimpse at the mother-of-three's new hair colour, switching things up from her signature brunette locks.

While definitely nowhere near platinum blonde, the mother-of-three's barnet is noticeably several shades lighter than what royal fans are used to.

Just yesterday (4 September), Kate visited the Natural History Museum's gardens in London with William, their first joint official engagement since their summer break.

She wore her long tresses in loose curls and sported a brown blazer layered over a white shirt for the official outing.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton exclusively explained to Tyla: "Ever the professionals, both Kate and William look extremely confident during this outing - but especially Kate. William is quite happy to let Kate take the lead here. They look very happy to be back to their public duties."

He went on to note that the pair could be seen walking at the same pace, 'in complete unison with matching confidence'.

"Non-verbally, Kate’s confidence shows through a lot of open palm gestures and her genuine smiles," Darren continued. "You can see her laugh lines which tells me she’s really interested in the people she’s meeting.

"There is no ego to her gestures at all."

And as for her new hair?

Well, the body language expert reckons that it may be the reason behind her extra confidence.

"The new hair may have given her the extra confidence," he speculated before concluding: "There are such genuine emotions coming from both of them.

"They’re both so authentic."

Darren previously told Tyla that the hair change is likely marking a new era in Kate’s life.

"When people change their hair in such a dramatic way, it’s all about renewal, confidence, change and evolution," he said. "This is the most dramatic and significant change she can make on an external basis."

On behalf of Betfair Slots, the professional continued: "While this would be a small thing in a normal person, she knows that this will go viral globally.

"Internally, she’s feeling very powerful, in the best possible way - she’s feeling empowered.”

Darren added that Kate's major appearance change is a demonstration of how 'confident and empowered' she’s feeling and that she is 'looking forward to the next chapter'.

"Not just in a personal sense but also in her professional life," he concluded.
