A new picture of Donald Trump and King Charles III from last night's regal state banquet has got everyone saying the same thing.

For those who aren't up to speed, yesterday (17 September) the British Royal Family welcomed the US president, 79, and First Lady, 55, to Windsor Castle for a historic two-day trip.

It marks the second time the POTUS has made a state visit the country, with the last time being in 2019, when the late Queen Elizabeth II was on the throne.

This time, the couple have a jam-packed itinerary, spending time with not only the King and Queen Camilla but also Prince William and Kate Middleton.

During the lavish white tie banquet last night, the group got dressed up and Trump even got to deliver a speech to the 160 guests in St George’s Hall.

He talked about the 'special' relationship between the UK and US, telling the room: "We’re joined by history and faith, by love and language and by transcendent ties of culture, tradition, ancestry and destiny."

As per any big royal event like the state banquet, a series of official photographs have been taken and plastered across social media - and one in particular has sparked a conversation.

The King and Trump posted together for a picture, which was later shared to the official White House Instagram account, alongside the caption: "President Donald J. Trump and His Majesty King Charles III."

It also included a United Kingdom flag emoji and a shaking hands emoji followed by the American flag.

In the snap, the pair are standing next to each other and Trump has a pretty big grin on his face, clearly enjoying his trip across the pond.

However, people haven't been able to draw their eyes away from one detail - the American president's teeth.

Royal Family fans are convinced that the photo has been 'edited' to make his pearly whites appear brighter and whiter, taking to the comments to point out the 'FaceTune fail'.

In a comment that's racked up more than 7,000 likes, one Instagram user wrote: "Whoever did the teeth whitening editing needs to be fired."

A second chimed in with: "The FaceTune teeth whitening was a massive fail. You’re fired!"

Alongside a laughing face emoji, a third questioned: "Why do you edit like this?"

A fourth social media user quipped: "Why trump be lookin like that?"

Another person brutally penned: "Now whoever does the editing of press pictures for the White House needs to be fired!! Never saw anything like this ever! How extremely embarrassing."

Meanwhile, others questioned whether the photo was created using artificial intelligence, joking that the POTUS looked 'like a waxwork figure'.

"Is that Donald’s double or is it is A-I?" one person commented.

Someone else wrote: "Was this picture AI generated?? Looks a bit off."

Another jibed: "Trump looks like a wax figure."

And one royal fan claimed: "I have never seen an image look more like an AI generated image in my life."

Tyla has contacted the White House for comment.
