Authorities have issued an update after Rihanna's Beverly Hills home was hit by gunfire.

As reported by the BBC, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at 1.15pm local time (9.15pm GMT) on Sunday, 8 March.

Sky News reports that the suspect is a 30-year-old woman, and police allegedly said Rihanna, 38, was home at the time.

However, it's unclear whether her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children - sons RZA, three, and Riot, two, and daughter Rocki Irish, who was born in September last year - were inside.

The suspect was located and taken into custody, and thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident.

It's been reported that between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15 rifle were fired from the suspect's car, with four striking the house.

More details have since been shared by the LA Times, which said the LAPD radio dispatch for the incident confirmed that the vehicle, a white Tesla, allegedly fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive after the shots were fired.

Officers in a helicopter reportedly located the vehicle and followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where they arrested the suspect roughly 30 minutes after the 911 call came in, according to the radio correspondence reviewed by the publication.

Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson, said: "When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings."

He said that officers found bullet holes in a gate and in an RV parked in Rihanna's driveway.

Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, confirmed that no injuries were reported at the incident.

The suspect's name has not been released, but as per NBC News, LAPD Capt. Mike Bland said in a statement that more information on her, including booking allegations, would be released on Monday (9 March).

A possible motive has not yet been provided, and the Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating, police said.

Rihanna became a mother for the third time in September of last year.

The superstar, real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty, welcomed son RZA in May 2022, Riot in August 2023, and most recently, Rocki, just over five months ago.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who have been together since 2020, announced the pregnancy at last year's Met Gala.

Tyla has contacted a representative for Rihanna for comment.
