Pornhub data exposes surprising searches that spike during Super Bowl
We're just a few days away now until the eagerly anticipated Super Bowl Sunday (8 February)
We're just a matter of days away from the eagerly anticipated Super Bowl final, which will see the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday (8 February).
Football fans will no doubt be buzzing to tune into one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with music lovers equally excited to see Grammy award-winner Bad Bunny perform during the halftime show.
It's set to be a good one, too, given just how iconic previous Super Bowl Sundays have been giving us including Rihanna unveiling her pregnancy during her performance back in 2023, Beyoncé bringing out Destiny’s Child on stage back in 2013, The Weeknd going viral with the 'looking around' meme in 2021, and Michael Jackson's halftime show opening in 1993 which saw the singer stand on the stage for a full two minutes before commencing his set.
However, it wouldn't be a Super Bowl without adult website Pornhub revealing its annual insights into what users are searching up, when and how much during the day of the event.

Data from previous years has exposed the surprising searches that spike around this time, so we thought we'd break down what people's, um, preferences have been over the past few years.
Super Bowl 2024
The 58th Super Bowl saw the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers, with the Chiefs winning 25-22.
On this day, the top three gaining search terms were directly related to the Super Bowl. In the lead was 'Super Bowl' with an increase of +5595 per cent, followed by 'Super Bowl Halftime' at +4090 per cent and then 'Super Bowl Party' at +3558 per cent.
Several other search terms branched out around this time, with 'big t*ts beauty' seeing an increase of +3231 per cent, 'after party amateur' getting a boost of +2502 per cent, and 'big giant monster c*ck' getting a rise of +2315 per cent.
The big trend followed, with 'super fat bbw' at +1114% shortly after.
In general, searches related to football also increased. 'American football player' was up +1097 per cent, 'football player jerk off' was up +816 per cent, and 'sex in football stadium' was up +811 per cent.
As you might expect, searches related to cheerleading were up as well.
'Cheerleader giving bl*wjob' was up +811 per cent, 'BBW cheerleader' was up +689 per cent, and 'football cheerleader' was up +316 per cent.
Nationally, traffic rebounded after the game, running 15 per cent above normal and staying high until 2 am. Across the US, traffic fell below a typical day during the game as, overall, it dropped 21 per cent.
Super Bowl 2025
Crowds watched on during the 59th Super Bowl as the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Unfortunately for Chiefs fans, the Eagles triumphed with a whopping 40–22 victory, avenging their previous Super Bowl loss.
Searches for 'Super Bowl' were up a massive 8,032 per cent, while 'Super Bowl halftime' jumped 5,023%.
Meanwhile, other viewers were hoping for a different kind of post-game celebration with a 4,609% increase in 'after party amateur' searches.
The search 'BBW cheerleader' saw a huge 3,107 per cent increase, while 'hot horny cheerleader' saw a 734% boost and 'thick cheerleader' was up 593 per cent.
And it's clear the word 'super' was on everyone’s mind, given searches featuring the term skyrocketing across various categories with some standout examples including 'super fat BBW' (+4,170 per cent), 'super hot blonde babe' (+3,269 per cent), 'super t*ts' (+2,074 per cent) and 'super big d*ck' (+207 per cent).
Traffic dropped considerably during the play, especially in the home states of the competing teams. The halftime show data is pretty interesting, too.
While the Super Bowl itself causes a noticeable dip in traffic, Pornhub shows that, based on per-minute pageview data, US traffic hit its lowest point at 8:01 PM, dropping a staggering -68 per cent just before the show began.
That’s one of the largest momentary declines the adult website's statisticians have ever recorded during a live sporting event.
Inevitably, once the match is finished and fans either celebrate or drown their sorrows, traffic bounces back.
After the final whistle, Pennsylvania and Missouri both saw a surge in visits by +13 and +9 per cent, respectively.
Super Bowl 2026
Well, we'll simply have to wait and see what findings Pornhub publishes after this weekend's events...
