Pornhub searches at time of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance revealed

Pornhub has released surprising data on what exactly people were searching for on the X-rated website during Super Bowl Sunday.

For those who missed it, on 8 February, the Seattle Seahawks took on the New England Patriots in a highly anticipated NFL final at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

While a lot of people do tune in for the sports, it's also a standout moment for music enthusiasts, thanks to its iconic half-time show, which was delivered by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny this year.

The 31-year-old star, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, put on a jaw-dropping performance featuring his biggest hits, including 'Tití Me Preguntó,' 'Monaco' and 'DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS'.

And while the Super Bowl is generally a family-friendly event, it looks like some people watching at home got, ahem, inspired.

As we say, Pornhub delved into traffic changes during the Super Bowl to see how the cultural phenomenon impacts online behavior.

Searches during the sporting event included 'jocks, cheerleaders, and showers,' and there was a 5632% increase simply in the term 'Super Bowl'.

'Solo jock' was the second most-searched term, up 4244%, followed by 'naked Super Bowl,' which saw a 3499% increase.

'Horny college jock' was up by 2939%, and 'Super Bowl blowjob' saw a search increase of 1458%.

But it looks like it's not only 'jocks' that people are interested in, as cheerleader-related searches also saw a significant uptick during the annual sporting event.

'Lesbian threesome cheerleader' was in fifth place and up 2861%, while 'lactating cheerleader' was up 2395,% and 'bbw cheerleader' was up 828%.

Other terms, possibly influenced by Bad Bunny, included 'amateur latino creampie' up 880%, 'latina solo dirty talk' up 479%, 'tattooed latino male' up +470%, and 'puerto rican' up +369%.

Also on the most-searched list are 'Super Bowl party,' 'Super Bowl sex,' 'football team shower,' 'big d***ed college jocks,' 'wife gangbang Super Bowl,' 'classic cheerleaders,' and 'Puerto Rican milf'.

While the Super Bowl itself draws an impressive amount of people, the halftime show frequently sees the biggest drop in traffic during the entire event.

Interestingly, traffic reached a low of -46% at 8:31pm, showing that millions of people took time away from their Pornhub visit to watch Bad Bunny perform.

As for specific states, some Americans showed their patriotism and love of football a little harder than others.

This year's game involved teams from Massachusetts and Washington - in the former, traffic dropped -38% below average, and in the latter, it only dropped –19%.

Meanwhile, Rhode Island was the most invested in the Super Bowl this year, with their average traffic being down –40%, with Maryland following closely behind at –39% and then Vermont at –38%.

States that seemed the least interested included the District of Columbia with–12% average traffic, Wisconsin with –14%, and Delaware with –15%.

With Bad Bunny being a main draw to the Super Bowl for his halftime show, Pornhub statisticians also looked at how traffic in his home country changed.

Until 6pm, traffic in Puerto Rico remained above average, by 6pm it was down to –7% below average, continuing the trajectory until 8pm, when his halftime show started.

It turns out that 8pm was Puerto Rico’s biggest drop of the day, reaching –29%.
