While many fans still tune in for the chaotic antics of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, The Simpsons has developed another reputation in recent years - its eerily accurate 'predictions.'
Whether it's clever satire from producers or pure coincidence, the much-loved series of over 800 episodes has become famous around the world for its so-called prophecies about our future.
Apparently, however, a supposedly 'unaired' episode of the long-standing cartoon began doing the rounds on social media recently, predicting that Donald Trump could die today.
Though most traces of the controversial clip have now been taken down, numerous fans of the show have addressed its contents.

According to numerous news outlets that obtained the allegedly 'lost' instalment prior to its removal (including UNILAD Tech and International Business Times), it showed the President passing over at exactly 7am, on 14 March 2026.

Apparently, the clip kicked off with Trump, 79, being shown 'inside a luxurious room, surrounded by secret document', which some commentators have predicted could be in reference to the Republican featuring heavily in the newly-released Epstein files.
(For reference, being mentioned in the files does not indicate wrongdoing, and Trump has consistently denied being affiliated with the late sex offender in any criminal capacity.)
Anyway, the video goes on to show the politician 'nervously talking on the phone when suddenly he collapses'. The camera is then said to pan across to a newspaper lying on the floor bearing the phrase "someone very powerful will be silenced".
The account supposedly responsible for uploading the clip, a TikTok user with the handle @simpsonspredictfuture1, alleged in the caption that the episode never officially aired, but 'briefly circulated online'.
It's important to note, however, that the clip also contains a series of nonsensical and largely AI-generated images.

For example, it shows several different variations of Homer carrying a coffin, numerous contradictory depictions of Trump - one with red hair, another with a beard, a third considerably younger than his almost-80-year-old self.
Agreeing that the entire fiasco is one big AI hoax, and that no one affiliated with The Simpsons has ever made any such prediction, fan podcaster Brendan Dando recently explained in his Four Fingers Discount: "What's happened is this person is going into AI, entering things into a prompt, and letting AI do the work. Hey, it's working for them - news websites are going crazy with it."
He added of the user: "They're claiming it's an unaired Simpsons episode, right, that predicted Donald Trump's death. One scene had 12 different Homers - one with a missing eye and missing hands. It's clearly all AI."
His co-host, Guy Davis, then chimed in: "It looks nothing like a Simpsons episode!
