A controversial conspiracy theory has been contrived in response to the news that President Trump is set to make an Oval Office announcement later today (2 Sept).
The news came after The Mirror reported a new entry had been made to the White House's official schedule, which ominously read: "The President makes an announcement."
While it currently remains unclear what topics the discussion will hinge upon, this hasn't stopped critics of the Republican leader making their suggestions on social media.
Earlier today, Tyla reported speculation regarding 79-year-old Trump's health, following online rumours that gripped the internet over the weekend that the politician had actually passed away.

The concern was sparked after fans noticed that he'd remained out of the spotlight for a few days - an absence that fell in line with his official schedule being kept unusually quiet over the Labor Day weekend, a nationwide celebration across the States.

At the time the rumours first began hitting headlines, Trump hadn't actually been seen in public since a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (27 August), and as a result, internet searches for 'Trump' and 'is Trump dead' made their way to the top of X's (formerly Twitter's) search engine.
That said, however, the right-wing leader was eventually spotted out playing golf with friends - and on top of this, he released a statement insisting he's very much alive.

"NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE," he penned on Truth Social on Sunday night (31 August).
With wellbeing speculation now having been squashed, therefore, a second conspiracy theory has since been formed by critics, who are apparently hoping that the Oval Office announcement will see Trump resign.
"Is he resigning?" one X user asked, to which another sarcastically replied: "Perfect. JD Vance gets to run for 3 terms. It's the end of democracy in the USA."
Another agreed: "You don’t call the cameras unless you’ve got something heavy to say."

"If so then it’s a GOOD RIDDANCE. End of all extortion," a third hit out.
Combining both theories, one left-leaning voter continued: "I hope he’s resigning due to health reasons !!!"
Issuing a hefty suggestion, another added: "They say that he may have even suffered a stroke and lost the ability to speak because of it. Either way, he's likely going to be resigning the office over to Vance during the day tomorrow due to his quickly declining health.

"I have heard people say they are prepping Vance now."
"Trump’s at it again another 'Oval Office announcement' at 2 p.m. Today. Resigning? Ha. Whatever it is, it’s guaranteed to be absurd, self-serving, and headline-grabbing chaos," a seventh went on.
It's worth noting, however, among all of these theories, that two of Trump's physicians have addressed speculation regarding his allegedly ailing health, addressing questions about bruising recently.
"Recent photos of the President have shown minor bruising on the back of his hand," Dr Sean Barbabella told press in recent weeks.

"This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.
"This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy."
Such a theory falls in life with a claim previously made by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who insisted Trump's hand often comes bruised as a result of shaking people's hands daily.
In agreement was the politician's former physician, Ronny Jackson, who added: "As President Trump's former personal physician, former Physician to the President, and White House physician for 14 years across three administrations, I can tell you unequivocally: President Donald J. Trump is the healthiest president this nation has ever seen.
"I continue to consult with his current physician and medical team at the White House and still spend significant time with the President. He is mentally and physically sharper than ever before."
