Canada's prime minister, Mark Carney, has sparked a heated online debate this week after brutally cutting off his US counterpart, Donald Trump.
The political pair have been attending the G7 summit this week, along with leaders from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, India, Australia, and Brazil. The conference is taking place in Kananaskis, Alberta, giving Carney, 60, hosting duties.
Amongst the topics on the table for the annual event event were global economics, geopolitical issues, as well as ongoing global warfare.

One aspect of the high-profile get-together saw US president, Trump, and the Canadian PM chatting to a roster of reporters about such subjects, during which the American was asked why a trade deal with Canada had been 'held up'.
Carney's eye-roll moment
"It's not so much holding up," Trump smugly replied. "I think we have different concepts. I have a tariff concept and Mark has a different concept, which is something that people like.
"But we're going to see if we can get through to the bottom of it today."

It was then that Carney could be seen winking at a member of the press, appearing to knock Trump down a tad.
The father-of-five went on to shade Carney, adding: "I'm a tariff person - simple, it's easy. It's precise, and it just goes very quickly.
"I think Mark just has a more complex idea - but also very good."
It was then that the Canadian could be seen smirking on the sidelines, seemingly mocking Trump right back.

Sharing the video on social media, one Carney fan jibed: "Carney's face tho...".
Another added: "That wink to the press at 0:13 seconds hahaha, beauty."
"OMFG - Carney's expression is everything. I would love to be a fly on the wall for the post-trump convos," a third wrote.
Butting in
Elsewhere during the interview, Trump was queried about the group's decision to drop Russia from what had previously been the G8.

Russia was axed from the exclusive squad in 2014.
Republican leader Trump also took the opportunity to voice his criticism of Carney's predecessor and fellow liberal Justin Trudeau in the same breath, whose term ended in March.
For those in need of a reminder, left-leaner Trudeau and right-winger Trump had ceaselessly butted heads - more specifically on the American's plan to make its northern neighbour the '51st state'.
"The G7 used to be the G8," Trump told press. "Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn't want to have Russia in.

"And I would say that that was a mistake. Because I think you wouldn't have a war right now if you had Russia in. And you wouldn't have a war right now if Trump were president four years ago, but it didn't work out that way."
It was then that Carney stepped in - literally - stopping Trump from uttering anything further.
"If you don't mind, I'm just going to exercise my role, if you will," he then turned to Trump to check his reaction before adding: "As G7 chair, since we have a few more minutes with the president and his team.
"And then we actually have to start the meeting to address some of these big issues."

A divisive move
As we say, many liberal voters were pleased to see Carney attempt to assert his authority over the Republican - with whom he became embroiled in a tax-related spat just days after being sworn in as Canada's leader in March.
"Word is that Trump left early because all the other World Leaders were laughing at him," one fan joked online.
"Thank you, PM Carney!!!" another gushed.
"He stopped him. So he don’t keep putting his foot in his mouth," a third laughed.
A batch of Trump fans weren't over the moon to see their leader interrupted by his Canadian counterpart.
"Carney is such a weakling," one hit out, seemingly referencing the fact that Carney appeared to look to Trump whilst cutting the President off.
"Whole thing is such a joke. Bloody hell," another wrote.
