Eagle-eyed Donald Trump fans had their eyes drawn to his trouser region yesterday, prompting a series of bizarre online conspiracy theories.
Earlier this week, the 78-year-old made an appearance at a UFC event in New Jersey following a brief trip to Camp David, a federal government retreat in the wilderness of Maryland.
There, Trump met with military leaders over the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act in response to protests against immigration raids happening in Los Angeles.

During the sporting event days later, however, the President appeared in a cheerier mood, as he posed for the cameras holding a UFC belt up in the air. In the photo, however, an emergence could be spotted on his upper leg.
Then yesterday (10 Jun), during an appearance Trump made in the rose garden of the White House, another rather peculiar-looking bulge was visible in official press images - this time stemming from down his lower leg.

And as we say, however, the intriguing images have sparked a number of theories surrounding the Republican's leg bulges.

Some have suggested that the father-of-five might be wearing a catheter underneath his clothing.
Though Trump hasn't alluded to suffering any illnesses impacting his continence in the press, one critic suggested online: "I really think Donald Trump is wearing some kind of urine collection contraption. This would explain the front and back peculiarities."
Another agreed: "Fidel Castro used to wear this leg catheter to be able to give his hours long speeches. It’s a politician thing."
A third also went along with the assertion, simply adding after the snap of the President was shared online: "Catheter."

"He is wearing an urine bag or something," wrote another. "You can see the catheter under his pants."
A number of Trump's other followers have convinced themselves, however, that he's actually hiding a brace under his clothing, presuming he's sustained a minor muscle injury of some kind.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one suggested: "Exoskeleton leg braces?".
Another agreed, adding with some certainty, 'Leg braces', to which a third responded: "Maybe to prevent the leaning."

"Knee brace for a partially torn ligament," another guessed, before adding: "Trump does not have time right now for surgery. Putting it off until the world is less volatile."

A fifth went on to support the initial theory. "Those are leg braces to stabilise him," they continued. "It’s why he never wears shorts anymore."
A third theory is said that Trump's protrudent leg actually forms part of some form of protecting gear.

"Probably some sort of bullet proof clothing!" one fan added to the online debate.
Also chiming in, others argued there's no need for such speculation at all, claiming the bulge may simply be Trump's pant leg caught on something. "Wow. Pants. Who knew," one sarcastically jibed.
Another added: "They are called pants and sometimes they get a little wrinkled."
Despite the speculation, the White House's lead physician Dr Sean Barbabella declared back in April that the President is in 'excellent cognitive and physical health' following a five-hour medical examination.
As well as receiving several blood tests, a cardiac examination and an ultrasounds - all of which reportedly came back clear - Trump underwent neurological tests on his mental status, as well as his nerves, motor/sensory function and reflexes.
According to the Irish Star, Barbabella insisted at the time that he'd achieved a score of 30 out of 30.
