After a fallout with Donald Trump, Elon Musk has suggested the creation of a new political party in America - but everyone has highlighted the same issue.
Musk and Trump's friendship has taken a sour turn as the two have since engaged in a public spat. Their disagreement follows the creation of Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' - which is a pretty hefty bill coming at over 1000 pages.
It includes extended tax cuts for American citizens, added requirements for federal benefits eligibility, an increase to the national debt ceiling, and more (via the BBC).

But Musk has branded the bill as a 'disgusting abomination', after noting that it will increase the 'already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion'.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.

"This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."

Following Musk's tweet, Trump gave his response, claiming that he was 'disappointed' by his remarks and that the former DOGE department leader had known everything about the bill - a claim which Musk later denied.
Following the public spat, the SpaceX founder took to his social media platform to pose a question to his followers: "Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?"
Musk received an overwhelming response, with over 80 percent of people choosing 'yes', however, others made a similar point about a 'party in the middle' - that it already exists.

One user said: "The Libertarian Party already exists, Elon," while another added: "Third parties already exist. It's the system itself that's broken."
"The Libertarian Party already exists and with a little influence and cash influx can be easily turned very based and pro-liberty," a third noted.
Someone else said: "We don't need a new party in the middle. The Republicans and Democrats are not that far apart anyway. Just join the Libertarian Party. It already exists. Maybe you can actually help get some of them into Congress."
Meanwhile, a fifth commented: "You don’t need to build a new party from scratch.

"There’s already one that believes in free markets, limited government, and innovation without interference.
"It’s the Libertarian Party. Let’s talk."
The Libertarian party was formed in 1971 and ultimately stands for individual freedom, limited government, and personal responsibility, according to their website.
