This week, Hollywood legend Robert De Niro became the latest celebrity to be threatened with deportation by US President Donald Trump.

In a fiery Truth Social rant, the Republican leader, 79, brutally called the 82-year-old movie star a 'sick and demented person with an extremely Low IQ,' as he demanded he should 'get on a boat'.

Now, those who keep up with the world leader's outburtsts will know that this actually isn't the first time such a threat has been made.

Trump has, on numerous occasions, threatened to deport not only A-list celebrities but also politicians and US representatives, all of whom are US citizens.

Legal experts have long said that deporting US citizens for any reason is unconstitutional; however, the Trump Administration is reportedly trying to strip citizenship from certain people through a process known as denaturalization, as reported by TIME Magazine.

This can only be done by judicial order, and it's only ever been used sparingly, 'such as for removing Nazis who fled to the US after World War II or people convicted of or associated with terrorism,' PolitiFact explained.

Here are all of the well-known people Trump has threatened to deport so far.

Robert De Niro

As we say, Trump's latest threat was directed towards Goodfellas star Robert De Niro.

During a recent appearance on Nicolle Wallace's The Best People podcast this week, the actor slammed Trump as 'an idiot' and said he's 'gonna ruin the country'.

The star demanded, "We gotta get rid of him. He's gonna ruin the country. I don’t want everybody going around with their MAGA, the American flags, like they’re the only ones. We are Americans too."

De Niro also hosted a political event called the 'State of the Swamp' on Tuesday (24 Feb), which was a play on words that referenced the State of the Union address that was delivered by the US President the same day.

He told attendees: "If you want our leaders to be accountable, if you’re devoted to the constitution and the rule of law, if you want the United States of America to be worthy of your love, be ready to take to the streets together, and we will take our country back."

It didn't take Trump long to respond with an angry Truth Social post, in which he, after taking aim at US representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, turned his attention to the actor.

He penned: "They should actually get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro, another sick and demented person with, I believe, an extremely Low IQ, who has absolutely no idea what he is doing or saying - some of which is seriously CRIMINAL!

"When I watched him break down in tears last night, much like a child would do, I realised that he may be even sicker than Crazy Rosie O’Donnell, who is right now in Ireland trying to figure out how to come back into our beautiful United States."

O'Donnell is, you guessed, another person Trump has threatened to deport.

Rosie O'Donnell

The world leader has been locked in a feud with comedian Rosie O'Donnell for almost two decades now.

But things came to a head in July last year when Trump threatened to revoke her US citizenship, demanding she stay in Ireland, where she moved to after Trump's re-election as President.

She explained in November that she's in the process of getting her Irish citizenship as she has Irish grandparents.

“I was never someone who thought I would move to another country. That's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. And here we are," she said.

As we say, Trump has threatened to revoke O'Donnell's citizenship on numerous occasions.

In July, he wrote in a social media post: "Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship."

He added: “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

Trump followed this up with another post in September, which read: "As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship.

"She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!"

Zohran Mamdani

Trump has also previously threatened to strip the citizenship of New York City's mayor, Zohran Mamdani.

Mamdani was born in Uganda and moved to the States in 1998 at the age of seven, before officially becoming a US citizen in 2018.

Al Jazeera reports that for adults to become US citizens, they generally must have lived continuously in the country as a lawful permanent resident for five years, or three years if married to a US citizen.

In July last year, before Mamdani was elected as mayor in November, Trump was asked about the Democratic Socialist's pledge to 'stop masked' ICE agents 'from deporting our neighbors,' to which the US president responded: "Well, then, we’ll have to arrest him.

"Look, we don't need a communist in this country, but if we have one, I'm going to be watching over him very carefully on behalf of the nation."

He also referenced false claims that Mamdani is in the country illegally, which were completely untrue.

The Republican leader said at the time, "A lot of people are saying he's here illegally. We're going to look at everything. Ideally, he's going to turn out to be much less than a communist. But right now he's a communist. That's not a socialist."

Mamdani responded with a statement on X, which read: “The President of the United States just threatened to have me arrested, stripped of my citizenship, put in a detention camp, and deported. Not because I have broken any law but because I will refuse to let ICE terrorize our city."

He added: “His statements don’t just represent an attack on our democracy but an attempt to send a message to every New Yorker who refuses to hide in the shadows: if you speak up, they will come for you. We will not accept this intimidation.”

As mentioned earlier, during his Truth Social rant aimed at Robert De Niro, the Republican leader also threatened to deport Democratic US lawmakers Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib after they shouted in protest during his State of the Union address on Tuesday (24 February).

His outburst, posted on Wednesday (25 February), read: "When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, as they screamed uncontrollably last night at the very elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalised."

He continued: "When people can behave like that, and knowing that they are Crooked and Corrupt Politicians, so bad for our Country, we should send them back from where they came - as fast as possible.

"They can only damage the United States of America, they can do nothing to help it."

Omar was born in Somalia and became a US citizen in 2000 when she was 17 years old, while Tlaib was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Palestinian parents, making her a US citizen by birth.

Elon Musk

Finally, Trump even once hinted at deporting his former bestie, Elon Musk, who was born in South Africa but became a US citizen in 2002.

The US President and Tesla founder, 54, butted heads in May after Musk stepped down from the Department of Government Efficiency co-lead position that Trump had given to him, four months earlier.

And after this, it didn't take long for the two to begin ripping into each other online.

Trump wrote on social media last year: "Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.

"No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!"

He doubled down on the claims while on his way to visit an immigration detention facility in Florida, as reporter asked Trump: "Are you going to deport Elon Musk?"

"We'll have to take a look," he replied.
