Donald Trump shared unusual explanation for Barron Trump’s remarkable height as new photo shocks everyone

Donald Trump’s kids took a family photo, but it was Barron’s height that stole the show – as the president’s past comments on his son come to light.

After Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, 44, took to social media on 24 February to share a whole family photo, people were stuck on one big detail – Barron's height.

Whilst standing beside two of his half-siblings that came from Trump’s first marriage to late Ivana, comprising of Donald Jr, 48, and Ivanka, Barron looked noticeably taller.

Then there's Eric, 42, who also is the son of Trump and Ivana, but he's missing from the image.

Who is there though is Barron's other half-sibling, Tiffany, 32, whose mother is Marla Maples, the woman Trump had an affair with and married for a short time during his first nuptials.

There's also Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband and one of Trump's former advisors, Bettina Anderson, Donald Jr's girlfriend, and Michael Boulos, Tiffany's husband.

Barron towered over all of them, and his height certainly didn’t come from his mother and Trump’s current wife, Melania Trump, who clearly doesn’t have the uber tall genes.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Barron is between 6'7 and 6'9 tall, which is bigger than his own father.

Trump sits at 6'3'', and 55-year-old Melania is a fair 5'11.

The image was taken on Tuesday (24 Feb), as the children of Trump attended their father's State of the Union address, that ended up being the longest in history at one hour and 47 minutes.

Barron's absolutely staggering height had one social media user joking: "Barron is 12 foot tall."

"Yo they don't make XXXXXL ties," another said. "He's so damn tall. Unreal!"

A third also added on: "Baron is an absolute unit."

So, what has the President of the United States said about it?

According to him, his 19-year-old's height can be credited to his diet.

Whilst at his presidential campaign headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, before he was elected in for the second time, he said Barron was at home ‘watching on TV’, and got into his childhood of only eating his grandmother’s food.

The grandmother in question was Melania's late mother, Amalija Knavs.

Trump said: "Great people, great parents to all of us, really. Great parents, but also to Barron. Boy, did she take care of Barron?"

He added: "That's how he got so tall, he only ate her food. I said you're gonna be a basketball player. He said, well 'I like soccer dad', actually. I thought... at your height I like basketball better, but you can't talk them into everything.'"

But that wasn’t the path he was set on taking.

As for Melania, she told FOX Business Network’s Mornings With Maria: “He’s incredible young man, we are very proud of him. This time it’s very different because he’s 19 years old and first time he was 10 years old. He understands politics, he gives advice to his father, we talk about it, so very different.”
