Donald Trump has sent shockwaves around the world after ordering the president of Venezuela's capture.
The president sent in US forces to seize Nicolás Maduro after commissioning strikes on the country on Saturday, January 3.
Trump said he had Maduro and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores, seized for 'narco-terrorism' offences. They have been indicted in the Southern District of New York, where they have been charged with conspiracy to commit narco-terrorism and import cocaine, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, in addition to conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the US.
Maduro has pleaded not guilty to the charges he faces.

Following the leader's arrest, many people fear that it's a Nostradamus prediction coming true in 2026 about World War 3, especially as it impacts so many countries.

Donald Trump's threats
The president has insisted that the US is 'in control' of Venezuela, and even threatened a second attack on the country during a press conference yesterday (4 January).
But what other countries has he made threats to?
Threats to Iran
Just one day before Maduro was arrested, Trump warned Iran's authorities against killing peaceful protesters, saying Washington 'will come to their rescue'.
Locals have been taking part in mass protests sparked by worsening economic conditions in the Middle Eastern country.
In a brief post on social media, Trump wrote: "We are locked and loaded and ready to go."
Threats to Colombia
After the raid in Venezuela, the president threatened military action against Colombia's government, with him telling reporters that such an operation 'sounds good to me', prompting an angry response from Bogota, the country's capital.

Speaking to reporters on board Air Force One, he said: “Colombia is very sick, too, run by a sick man, who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States, and he’s not going to be doing it very long."
Threats to Cuba
“I think Cuba is going to be something we’ll end up talking about, because Cuba is a failing nation right now,” Trump said in a White House press conference about the country when asked if President Miguel Díaz-Canel could take away a message from the US’ intervention in Venezuela.
Threats to Mexico
Mexico has long been a target of Trump's, with him saying in the wake of the Venezuela raid that the country 'has to get their act together' or 'we’re going to have to do something'.

Threats to Greenland
At the weekend, Trump told The Atlantic magazine that the US 'needs Greenland for defence' - which isn't a new prospect, as he has threatened to take control of the European country for over a year now.
Taking to social media, one fearful onlooker said of the president's threats: "The entire world is going to unite and take up arms against America. This regime is mad and a danger to every citizen."
"The US Congress is an expensive group chat right now. They don’t do anything useful," insisted another.
However, Trump supporters replied, saying he's 'doing a great job' and urged him to ignore critics.
