Sometimes, people are given names which can predict their future outcome, and Donald Trump is no exception.

The 47th President of the United States of America has caused a storm since he was sworn into office on 20 January, after signing a number of executive orders.

They included the recognition of only two genders, attempting to change the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, banning Pride and Black Lives Matters flags, and more.

So, it’s safe to say that it has been a very busy week in America.

But little does anyone know that Trump was meant for big things in life.

While a lot of people do not like the fact that he is in power, apparently, it was supposed to happen.

When a person is given a name, sometimes the meaning rubs off on them and it shapes their entire life.

For example, someone could be called Matthew, which means a ‘gift from God’, and then go on to be a preacher- or if you named your child 'Harmony', maybe they would grow up to be a peacekeeper.

In the very same way, Trump has lived up to his namesake, and it’s very interesting how his entire name formed his reality (loosely).

Let’s break it down.

According to Ancestry, ‘Donald’ derives from the Scottish meaning of ‘ruler of the world’ and is a historically prominent name.

The website states: “Historically, the name Donald holds significant prominence, particularly in Scottish history. It can be traced back to the early medieval period when it was associated with the powerful clans and ruling families of Scotland. The name's popularity can be attributed to the influence of various notable figures who bore this prestigious name throughout the years.”

Then, we have Trump’s middle name, which is the name ‘John’, quite a common one as a middle name.

To this, it means ‘Yohanan’ in Hebrew, which translates to ‘graced by Yahweh’.

According to Baby, John’s meaning is ‘graced by God’, which is a pretty cool name to be given at birth as it’s really setting the person up for a life of success.

Now, let’s move on to Trump.

Trump is derived from the German word ‘trumpe’, which means ‘drum’ or ‘to trumpet’.

‘To trumpet’ is also to ‘proclaim loudly’, which ultimately means that Donald John Trump’s name means ‘world ruler, graced by God, who proclaims loudly’.

Wow.

Now, some people online have already figured this out, and they are just as shocked as the rest of us.

On X, users immediately shared their knowledge on Trump’s name, and the reactions are priceless.

One person wrote after sharing a front cover image of Trump’s The Economist feature: “Call me crazy if you want, but I think Donald Trump is about to take over the world. Funny that his first name literally means ‘world ruler'.”

Another said: “This was Trump’s destiny. The name ‘Donald’ means ‘ruler of the world’ and ‘great chief’ Your name matters. Trump’s certainly does.”

Someone else commented: “The name Donald literally means 'ruler of the world’.”

To this, a user replied: “Well, that's unsettling…”
