Donald Trump has instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release additional documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as the mounting pressure surrounding the case continues.
For those who need a reminder, Epstein took his own life in his prison cell in August 2019 after he was jailed on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors.
Since his suicide, swirling conspiracies of government files including a ‘client list’ have circulated, with the public demanding any information, including names of supposed people involved, be released.
A huge number of big celebrity names, including Trump himself, have been linked to the alleged ‘list’ over the years.

However, it’s all speculation of course and Trump and others being named in these alleged files does not implicate wrongdoing at this point, it must be noted.
Especially after a recent investigation by the FBI and the Justice Department, which concluded that he didn't keep a supposed 'client list' or ‘blackmail prominent individuals'.

Meanwhile, Trump himself has made his thoughts on the matter clear - that he simply wants to move on from it and doesn’t understand why people are still talking about Epstein.

But, the latest spanner in the works that came yesterday (17 July) was an alleged leaked letter written by Bondi to FBI director Kash Patel in February, indicating that the files are in fact real.
The note in question was as the president's official request for the documents - specifically Epstein's ‘list’ of contacts - to be sent over, contradicting the stance that they don’t exist at all.
So now, as the pressure for the supposed files to be released continues growing, Trump has ordered Bondi to release the grand jury transcripts.
The US president wrote on his own social media platform, Truth Social: “Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!”

Bondi then re-shared his message on her own X account, writing: “President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”
However, people online who have been following the drama believe they have spotted a major issue - that Trump said this next step would be ‘subject to court approval’.
Fed up of waiting, they’ve slammed the Republican leader as allegedly using this as a ‘delay tactic’.

One user wrote: “It’s another Trump delay tactic - Grand Jury testimony has to be approved to be unsealed by a judge and the AG office has to argue the case, then the documents have to be redacted of victim names.
“It will take months or even years. Just release the documents they already have!”
A second claimed: “It's a delay tactic and you are falling for it.”
Meanwhile, a third penned: “How many times have they 'released' stuff and it’s just nonsense? I have no confidence that this will lead to the justice we are all asking for.”

Someone else added: “'Subject to court approval'. Don’t get your hopes up.”
